Actually, they're the ONLY legal bases for the fiends - I swapped my Keepers back to the original 40mm Square bases for the same reason, too!

According to the rulebook, models must be glued to the bases they are supplied with - last time 1ed Fiends were available for sale they were supplied with Cavalry bases, so that's what they're glued to.
