alright guys, so im starting a new space marine army
i was thinking as a colour scheme:
(1) ultramarines blue, with white trim, gold or white eagle, and the front part of the faceplate white
or
(2) ultramarines blue, with a goblin green trim, a brassy coloured eagle, and the front part of the faceplate goblin green

please tell me which one youse would like better and suggestions of entirely new schemes welcome, also suggestions to improve the above colour schemes would be more than welcome

I like this one, it's a traditional looking marine scheme with high contrast and plenty of room for customization.

I like the idea of the green and blue, but these are two very saturated colors and I feel that they'll clash. You could try to gray down or whiten up one of the colors, or possibly get a darker shade of one of the colors. Examples are GW Ultramarine Blue with GW Snot Green trim or GW Ultramarine Blue with Reaper Pine Green.

down south

Yeah I think white and blue is a good scheme. I really don't like green and blue together but that's just me.

I think a white chest eagle would look good. Maybe even a light blue base with white highlights and you'd have a good looking trooper.

Are they gonna be ultras or a DIY chapter?

Yeah, photographing miniatures is an art unto itself. If your camera won't let you turn off the flash, try fooling the sensors with either really bright light indoors or shooting outside while it's sunny.

well i painted my first one
i did the white trim, and it looks decent, i tried the brassy chest eagle on the new space marine models, and decided to go with white it looks so much better

if i did a DIY chapter, what could it be an offshoot of?

and by the way, the whole idea of the front part of the faceplate being a different colour, terrible, contrasted with the whole scheme
