I could not stand the way the Sergeant looked...pointing off to his left while screaming straight ahead. So, off with his head! I used one of the heads from the SM Commander sprue and made him look in the correct direction. One of the guys at the store was so impressed that he wanted me to do his as well. The pic of the sergeant with no head is the 2nd one I did (for the other guy). The Sarge with the head and no arm is mine.

I think the official poe means "look you 'orrible lot that way". Pointing in the direction of battle, but looking at the squad. A command pose.

While the new poste is nice it now means he is laughing at an enemy, or pointing out someonthing scary. It's not a command pose, but a reactive one.

The original pose does make more sense IMHO, but that is a nice job you have done.

Using your theory Orlanth, the original pose would force him to turn his back on the battle. Death sentence.

The pose now is screaming (pun intended) "Over there men, get them!". A leader pose.

I've got to agree here, some of the stock head angles and poses really just look wrong... I can see why they do it, it's obviously easier to mold a straight ahead look in plastic, but what you end up with is millions of plastic Orks out there looking straight ahead or with there head at an angle but still looking forwards, sort of slightly pissed look... Orks have great big necks and eyes on the front of their heads, they need to look sideways!! Anyway, I digress, nice work buddy!

Once in awhile, turn the head opposite the way he's pointing to make it look like he's yelling orders to the rest of the squad.
