i definently want harlequins to paint, and if they are any good, swooping hawks. Is mechanized better now? Please list good units but no guardians and im pretty sure dire avengers. Thx in advance

As much as the advice doens't help, the Eldar codex is remarkably balanced in terms of not really continaining any truly bad units. Swooping hawks are pretty weak, but have a neat new ability to deepstrike, drop a large blast, and then go back into reserves in a single turn. Beyond that, Storm Guardians are a bit of a niche unit, as are the Heavy Support Weapon batteries.

Beyond that, there is an army analysis in the articles section, and the following units are generally considered pretty good:

Eldard
Avatar
Farseer (particularly on jetbike)
Warlocks on Jetbikes (to go with above)
yriel
Autatch on Jetbike with laserlance
Banshees
Fire Dragons
Harlies (much less now than in 4th, but still good)
Wraithguard
Dire Avengers
Wave Serpents
Guardian Jetbikes
Rangers (upgraded to pathfinders)
Fire Prisms
Falcons
Wraithlords

I hope this helps.

I hope you don't mind me adding my two sense.

Remeber they are one of the odd armies. Awsome in the attack... weak in the defense. Harlies are one of the most devistating units in assault, but with only t 3 and 5+ inv, are truly squishy and expensive. The key to using eldar in my eyes is Mech Inf. use there speed and moving firepower! Vypers with Bright Lance are one of the best fast Tank hunters. Banshees with there Pheonix Lord is scary out of Falcons or Wave Serpents. Dut try to slug it out. Shoot and scoot and do not allow yourself to be lock up. You can hit so hard, but after first turn of assault you loose allot of power. You have to know when you can hammer a unit and then move!

Just some Thoughts.
