I was thinking about dropping the Warboss and also finding points for grot riggers for all the Kanz. What do you guys think? Just curious as this is very different from my standard orks since i'm a bit of a speed-a-holic (20+ Bike Minimum in 1850, a little less with the new tournement point values in the US)

the Armour for the kans are useless as they die when immobilized anyways

Look out for flamers and large template weaopons

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

Oh i will, i just thought the idea of 180 orks and 9 kans was entertaining as heck! Don't forget the stormboyz can charge without being flamed. It'll be fun i think but the new template rules make it a little harder, but still fun.

As with any true horde, if you plan to play this in a tourney I strongly suggest you play as many practice games as you can. Time your turns, and get used to moving, rolling, resolving and removing casualties very fast. 180 orks is a ton of bases to move.

Looks good, for a huge, agressive ork horde. How do you plan on dealing with things like 6 land raiders or three monoliths? I admt orks don't have a lot of answers for that, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

As for playing with the army, I agree you're going to need to practice moving it. And get into the habit of writing down how many casualties each squad has taken as you go - that way you don't waste time re-counting the squad when you need to shoot at someone. Try to avoid re-counting dice too...multiple dice colors where you know you have 10 of color X, 10 of color Y, 10 of color Z, etc so if you say, need to shoot 52 shots you can quickly count them out by grabbing 5 whole colors and 2 stray dice.

As for the time factor i don't worry about that to much, since 5th edition i've been able to do my 1750pts. games in about an hour and 15 minutes so i figure that less than half points with twice as much time and models should be fine...hehe

As for the dice i only use 12 and just fast roll them. I did get an extra 4 dice of 4 different colors for the new wound allocation but it still makes it easy.

And lastly, i hate landraiders! I'm gonna figure something out but i get the feeling that if i draw a 3-6 LR army then i'll just have to kill everything else, and use the squads to circle the objectives to keep the LR's away from them. It's really all you can do since i have nothing except the Warboss that penetrates. Oh well, every other list is in TROUBLE! hehe

Actually, all nobs can pen on the charge, as furious charge will give them str 9. Also since they cannot be "locked" in combat with a tank, you get the furious charge bonus every time you attack the tank, so Land raiders will be not that much trouble.

Watch out for sneaky lists like Steleks that have multiple flamers in a landraider, they will fry your stormboys good...

Monoliths will suck, but you shouldn't attack the monoliths anyway...

They better get out before i get to the landraiders if they are hiding in there since i'll be able to block all the access points. If he moves it'll be only 2 hits which don't exactly fill me with confidence but meh, i'll give it a shot.

It's more of an idea for the second round if i make it, i'm playing DH tomorrow and there will be 16 people there so competition might actually be a little tight. We'll see.
