I need your help!
Many rumored "facts" are running wild at different forums.
Now I've got a CODEX at thursday.This fine book contradicts some of the posts.
Let me explain the points:
1) How do i buy weapons in the units entry?
CODEX:
unit entry:
every model can exchange his boltpistol AND/OR his chainsword with...
explained in the dex:
you can exchange your left-hand weapon with...or exchange your right-hand weapon with... or exchange both weapons with... for ...points
This statement in the dex gives one trooper ONE pick at the weapon options.
Some Sergeants have their own pick and can benefit from both:
They can take their "SGT only choice" and the "every model choice" wich results in :
Trooper = 1 weapon from options. SGT = 2 weapons from options.
This could get my sgt 2 identical weapons.My troopers may not use pairs of weapons.
Asked GW:
Got confirmed the explanation of options at page 128 is true.
This way,some options don't look overpowered.Only a few units with options to pick a 2-handed weapon and a stormshield
could be a worthy subject to discuss.
2) Terminator invul save:
CODEX:
No invul save in unit entry or termie description or termie armor description.
Asked GW MO:
Got confirmed NO invul save with termie armor.
This MUST be a typo/ignorant GW-employee!
Asked again:
Got confirmed errata will follow to cover this. Invul save is available again.
Was a missing paragraph.
Can someone confirm my point 1?
Please with a official Codex.
Resist to quote web-sites or rumorthreads.
The reason for me to ask this is :
a)If I read the codex right,someone has to change their view on the dex.
b)If my german codex is different from the english,I will complain at/write at/flame GW for this.
c)Incompatible codices may restrict 40k to national borders.
d)If its my fault, I have to be stopped from posting nonsense.

If the Termie-armor doesn't have a invul-save anymore,every stormshield-wielding marine is better protected
3) Vindicator
CODEX:
Demolisher = S10/ ap 2/ ordnance 1
Asked GW:
Got confirmed demolisher IS ordnance, NOT barrage.
I'm happy with a demolisher as ordnance.It may scatter but I get a -4 to hold my aim on target.
If this weapon is barrage,it will always need to hit,otherwise it scatters 2d6 without any modifier.
Not so funny with 24". Shot someone in front of your Vindicator and scatter back at your own vehicle.
Can someone confirm my points 1-3 ?
Please with a official Codex.

1. Not exactly sure what you are asking here. The codex is very easy....you may exchange X for Y....
2. Page 102, Terminators do have 5+ invulnerable.
3.Demolisher cannons in the summary are Ordnance, Barrage.

The point is: buy 1x piece of weaponry to replace EITHER x or y. also buy 1 piece of weaponry to replace both x and Y.
If I read it right,only sgts can buy identical stuff.Sgts have 2x chances to buy stuff.
Troopers get only 1 option to buy.They have only the chance at "every model may replace his...".
So 1 chance to exchange 1 or both weapons with 1 weapon.
2. Page 102, Terminators do have 5+ invulnerable.
Not in a german dex. page 102 has no reference about armorsave or invulsave for termies.
3.Demolisher cannons in the summary are Ordnance, Barrage.
Second difference. Barrage is not in a germans dex summary.

Demolisher is NOT Barrage; don't use the summary for stats, because it's always buggy. The actual profile is on pg. 80 of the new codex.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Just talking about the fact that it says it in the summary gives the feeling that you think it's accurate. So, sorry if the clarification offended.

You may exchance X for Y. What is the problem? Do you have an example of what we think should happen, and what you think should happen given the rules?
A 10 man space marine squad can have a plasmagun, lascannon, and powerfist.
An assault terminator squad can have every model with a thunderhammer and storm shield.

I don't understand, now you are saying the answer to 3 is that demolisher is ordnance (which nobody ever disputed)? Either way, it's rules are per the entry on page 80(US) not the summary, as said before.
1 is quite simple really, lets say you have a sergeant with bolt pistol and chainsword with an "and/or" clause for 4 different upgrades.
What this means is that the sergeant has a number of choices, he can keep his bolt pistol and chainsword, he can change his bolt pistol for ANY of those 4 items, he can change his chainsword for ANY of those 4 items, he can change both his bolt pistol AND his chainsword for ANY 2 of those 4 items.

I forgot to mention that some forums had demolisher = barrage stated.
My codex said ordnance,so I'm fine with it.

Is this exactly working so? The Vanguard and command-squad got these "and/or"clause for all their members.
Vanguard-marines could take 2 choices then.
Command-squad-marines could take also 2 choices then. Even a weird 2x pair of LC.
