Wraithbone, being an organic material is largely vulnerable to the corruption of Nurgle. It seems plausible to me that a Wraithlord could be corrupted as such. Either Nurgle uses the imprisoned goddess Isha to manipulate the being or else it has struck a deal to shield itself from Slannesh.

I've posted this one before...

In game terms they're just Nurgle Daemon Princes.

They look like Wraithlords that got crossed with those big guys from Bioshock.

Then ran into a Tomb King and unwrapped him to get warm.

I have seen alot of people try to convert Eldar to non-Eldar, I think it's an impossible task.

They look fine, but my first thought is:

What happened to your Wraithlords?

I dig em. I like the thought provoking take. It's more interesting and something you don't see often.

What happens when the Eldar fall AGAIN? This.

I like it. Good job! It still reeks off Eldar, but I definitely like the second one.

It makes me wanna try a Slaanesh CSM army using Eldar and Dark Eldar now, haha. A Slaanesh Wraithlord DP would work well.

The gask maskish goggle face thing ties it in with Nurgle nicey, as does the paint scheme.

The Wraithlords got completely owned by Chaos. That's what happened

It's cathartic to model them as such. A friend of mine plays Eldar almost exclusively and his Wraithlords give me fits every time.

I'm completely unimpressed by every model currently offered by GW in the Daemon Prince category. The Nurgle one is admittedly the best of all of them but it's still metal and doesn't give enough room for creativity.

I don't like any of them. The one with the gas mask looks like the stay-puft marshmallow man with Nurgle's Rot. The other one is OK but I don't like the hooves.

The new one they're working on...it shows not an ounce of creativity. They might as well say "this is a cheaper, less cool version of Forge World's Great Unclean One."

Personally I think the wraithlord demon princes rock!

The GUO does seem a bit strange given the **tch slapping they got with the original Plage Lord.

Nice minis btw, very nice. Not as good as Stelek's stuff, but you're getting there.

Dunno.
That might just be the perfect compliment for them.
I can see the response, now:

"Nurgle happened to my Wraithlords."

I really like these. There's just SOMETHING about Eldar that makes me REALLY look when someone bastardizes them and makes them into something else. Especially Chaos. I really like it.

One day I'll be making an Ork army... and I will have a Wraithlord Ork Dreadnought. Oh, yes. It shall be mine.

As for Ultraforge: I love 'em. I think the quality is top notch, the models (mostly) look really good, the service is excellent, and there's a real value for the $ you spend.

I like the idea of these Daemon princes, though I will admit the execution still leaves one thinking...Wraithlord...

They were well done though, and nicely converted, i think its just that the wraithlord is such a uniquely Eldar...thing that its hard to change it to another army effectively.

My only thing about the converts is that most descriptions of Nurgalized entities have them bloated with disease.

Eldar are inherantly skinny...

I think that what you have done is very impressive, but how 'bout a gut on the next one?

Bloating is something that happens when something is dead. The very sick are generally gaunt. My initial reason to build one of these was to make a "gaunt Great Unclean One"

Actually, that's not true, the one with the scythe was going to be a Slannesh DP but I changed my mind when the guitar I made for him looked like gak.

Thanks for all the comments!

I like 'em. I might be tempted to rot up the first one a bit more. But they have a very strong vibe as is. I particularly like the first one's face, and the scythe (and whatever he's carrying in his other hand) on the second.

if your not trying to make them look that eldar use them as a base and sculpt everything on top of them.

use the wraithlord as bones maybe and sculpt everything else?
