I used to play 40K when I was 12 and 13 (i'm almost 16 now) and I would usually run Blood Angels, but I got bored with it in 8th grade and when I moved I left all my miniatures in NY. But just the other day I had the biggest urge to start playing again when I found out about a GW near me. So I called my dad and asked him to send all my mini's down (warhammer and 40k).
The problem is I don't wannna play Space Marines anymore and I'm deeply considering Orks but I don't have any idea on how to play them, what are good units, and what to get. I torrented some codexes yesterday and started reading the orks but I'm still lost. Can anyone help me or give some advice on picking out an army list? (I stopped playing for about 3 years now so I'm really rusty on everything)

Welcome to DakkaDakka.
Well, Orks is a strong army. The Codex Orks provides three army lists at the 1500 pts level. Pick one suitable for your playing style: horde, kult of speed, or Dread heavy.
Lootas, 30 Boyz on foot, Boyz in Trukks, Boss mobz with Painboy (Doc) in Trukk or on Bikes are great.
