Until a few months ago, I stopped collecting models, and now that I'm back in, I see that Games Day in Oz is no more. I understand that it was probably not profitable enough given our market, but does anyone know of any plans to start it again? It was fantastic as I remember it. Failing that, can you see the Golden Demon models without having to trek to all the GW stores in NSW?

Its a pity, as I didnt notice it had gone until a few months ago, and it would be on now otherwise.

Armies Owned: Iron Warriors, Tau

Undead Titan Log
Malfred: Terminator Armor has always had room for extra boobage.
Drake_Marcus: It's true- that's why the Space Wolves love termie armour so much. The whole "bear" thing they've got going on is just a thinly veiled cover-up of their huge, hairy cleavage.

None whatsoever. We were apparently lucky to even keep the Golden Demons in any format... the current format was the result of a lot of campaigning by a couple of people.

Games Day is dead. The only way we'll get anything similar back is if someone outside of GW organises it.

Nope. The first year of the new format there were quite a few pictures online from initial rounds, but they've put a stop to that because people complained about poor quality online pics potentially affecting judging.

The finalists all wind up in Sydney, but to see the rest you'll have to go store to store.

Frankly, I think the days of Golden Demon in Oz are numbered. The new format just doesn't have the draw power that Games Day did.
