wait wait wait wait... huh..?

Hey... I've been wondering how you do that type of painting...

You did a really good job on them, but I can't tell if you've done any conversions aside from the bases, which is good, I guess

Thanks. Both bases are pretty much come blank. The top one is just done with cork. The bottom one is done with bits of crumbled flag stone.

The first is the "Space Marine" from Reaper, correct? If so, I am glad, as I have most of their new sci-fi line coming to my house sight unseen. Those look pretty good

Looking good. How did you do the green on his armour? Ive been looking at something similar to that for Chaos marines, or possibly salamanders.

Drake_Marcus: It's true- that's why the Space Wolves love termie armour so much. The whole "bear" thing they've got going on is just a thinly veiled cover-up of their huge, hairy cleavage.

The 'space marine' is my favorite of the two. Lots of great light source/highlighting work that is subtle and gritty. The color selection works out perfectly and keeps him feeling tactical.

The knight has some good spots as well. The gold looks very nice and the downplayed highlights on the black work well. I would have gone for a bit more depth with the reds though. I can see some darker color worked in, but a bit more variation with the highlighting (as done with the marine) on the high spots could bring it up a notch.

Welcome to Dakka ^_-.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

The marine is from Reaper's Chronoscope line. I think the name of this one is Nick Stone. It was painted with Reapers Master Series paints. The green is the Olive Green Triad that they have.

The other is from thier Warlord line: Overlords Captain Andras. That one clearly needs more work on the gold and the red in the back. (maybe even some free hand) Hmmmm.
