afternoon all, thought i just say a big "HI" to everyone, im new to the site but not the hobby, been playing warhammer since about 1988, but then due to real life stuff, had to stop playing just before 3rd edition 40k came out, but now getting back in to the swing of things again and busy rebuilding my collection after the last lot got binned by an ex-girlfreind (long story).
at the mo collecting deamonhunters and guard and some marines as well, probaly got about 2500 pts of DH with guard allies, and probaly about 3000pts so far with imp guard. i will probaly post some pics of my models at some point, but in my opion, its nowhere as good as some ive seen here so far.

cheers spawn, both of my main armys are a constent WIP, as im also paint some models for members of my gaming club, as for the guard army, at the mo it contains 2 full infantry platoons, a command platoon and 2 hell hounds and a russ as fast attack/hvy surport, and i also have a arty company, which is still being put togther so to speak

i hope to at some point, see if im lucky warfare 2008 in november, i have an old 1/35th scale german surper tank that im thinking of converting in to a gaurd surper heavy, if i can get some more bits and pices for it, and some plastic card as well, but thats for another time

as for the old newbie tag, as i said in my first post, i first started playing warhammer in about 1988, but had to stop playing just before 3rd ed 40K came out, and am only just getting back to the hobby, so having to relearn the game again as its now on 5th ed.
as for pics of my armys, i see what i can do, but bear in mind that the DH are only about half painted, and most of the guard are only primed after being stripped from there old paint jobs and cleaned up, most of the army is sprayed black at the mo, with a few with base colours on, and 2 russ waiting to be stripped, as most of my current collection is either old stuff thats been in a cuppboard for years, or second hand stuff frome trades and swops

cheers HFN, looks like i got a shed load of reading to do in the forums, lots of intresting bits to read here. can you surgest any good threads to look at on deamonhunters and imperial guard, and also whitch hunters (the wifes army)
