i was sitting at work tonight (im a cook) with nothing to do and, as they are wont to do, my thoughts drifted to
40K
this is what happened as a result
The Cutta Cook
Like the meks and docs, other orks have abilities directly in their DNA. One of these subtypes are known as the Cutta Cook.
Like Meks and machines, Cooks have enate ability to create ork food.
Much of their meat is supplied by the squigs they are excelent at breeding, and of course the occasion displeasuring grot. However, some of the meat is supplied by ork boyz who have tried to prove their gruff by slaying a large local beast, and happily give the animal, stripped of its horns, to the Cook.
Most Cooks simply set up a small stand in whatever settlement they are in, but are always willing to abbondon it at the first sign of a fight.
Some Cooks travel in small free booter groups, being hired quite often by Warbosses of all types. Cooks are notroious for boosting moral, becasue what ork isnt going to kill extra oomies if he thinks hes going to get a bite? Orks bring back the dead to a Cook and he gleefully creates horrible grog doused gore-may foods for all the boyz. As a result, most cooks and create any thing from Eldar Burgers to fried oomies.
Not only are Cooks used for a moral booster, but are beyond deadly with their blades, and can easily fight along side the most battle harderned nob. While most orks are more than okay with their blades being nothing more than blunt insterments, the Cooks are diffrent. Each blade is sharpened to a point where it can slice through the toughest armour with ease. Combined with expert abilitly to weild these weapons, any Cook makes for a foritable enemy.
It is a horrble fate to be a prinsoner of war when a Ork Cook is around, becasue most recipes say "the squirmier the better"
