Land raider crusader - 255
6 devastators, 2 missile launchers, 2 Hvy bolters

So this is the first time putting together Grey Knights so I have alot to learn. The general Idea is that the troops are anti troop and objective holders, and the termies can ride around in the land raider and jump out into CC and slap stuff up. The crusader and the devastators kind of have a mix of anti troops and anti troops so I have some stuff either way my opponents swing an army. and if any one wants to know why I took a crusaders its because it can fire all of its weapons pretty much no matter what and that in a number crunch the assault cannons actually take out tanks better then las cannons. If you want the number crunch i will throw it out for people upon request.

Don't only look into T4 units.The average points cost of a model in your list is too high.

And you cannot field assassin without inquisitors.

Where did you get the dev squad from?

You can take SM allies but not from the Heavy Support section (its 0-1 HQ, 0-1 elites, 0-2 troops and 0-1 fast attack)

Devastator cannot be introduced,but not by the reason you listed.They cannot be introduced,just because the list contains Grey Knights.It is written on page 30 of the codex.

The restriction you quoted is to limit the DH army organisation when DH is allies of other army,and has no relation to this topic at all.

Ok so I guess I was a little gun hoe about making a list that I didn't look over the codex very well, so after some consideration this is what I came up with, my only problem that I really have is I don't really have much in the way of tank hunting. Any Ideas on how to remedy this would be great.

Why the LR Crusader? What's it transporting, and are you really getting full use of the 16 Transport Capacity? If you really need some tank hunting powers, swap it for a regulation Land Raider. 2 twin-linked Lascannons IS a fair ammount of anti-tank.

For tank hunting grey knights are kind of limited. Take dreads with lascannon/missle launcher, or take some regular land raiders. here is an example of a land raider spam army, that even includes that vindicare you seem to like:

or this non assassin list:

5 grey knights w/incinerator x3
land raider x3
brother captain with psycannon, MC nemesis weapon, and 3 termie ret with psycannon.



silly? yes! effective? depends on opponent, but AV 14 is a tough nut to crack. Only having just over 20 models at this point level is rough, but all the models are likely to be MUCH better than your opponents, so the trick is to get every last bit of use out of each model before it is lost. It wouldn't too hard to come out vs some armies with only losing 1-2 units the entire game (and its possible to go the whole game losing 0, if you are careful enough!). YOU might not kill much more, but a minor win is still a win.

the second list is probably the better of the 2, run the grey knights in the LR, the BC and termies can either be a firebase, or you can deepstrike them for a risky, but often worthwhile attack.

As for a non LR spam army, i can't give much advice other than you probably should start with 3 LC ML dreads, and alot of PAGKs, and stay at 23 1/2 inches as long as possible. Termies eat up alot of points, so try not to go overboard with them, and think about inducted guard to give you extra bodies. Or even run some of the sisters of battle, they are really quite good for 11 points each.
