Thought I would right up battle reports more often as we play every thursday night. We have been palying 750 lists none stop for the last 3 months and are preparing for a tournament this weekend. I always seem to struggle with Makeda and finding the right synergy with her. I played against Cygnay and a friend.
My list
Makeda
2 Cyclops savage
1 Cy brute
10 Karax
6 Cetrati
8 Praets plus unit attackment
2 AG's
4 Thundercats as I call them (Skorne calvary)
5 paingivers
Opponents list
Kaye
2 Sentinals
1 Lancer
1 Ironclad
1 Defender
2 units of storm knights
Captain strangeways
We roll a mission and get the three control points spread out along a line in the middle of the table. He gets first turn and advances everything forward and claims one with a lancer because of the light cslvary movement from Kraye. Storm knights advance up each flank with his jacks, caster, and strangeways up the middle. My first turn I advance Makeda and cast savagery on my Cetrati and Def ward on my Karax both these units run/advance and go into shieldwall. Thunder cats move then leap onto an objective. Praets advance and ready stance order with AG advancing up each flank to support praets and Karax anc collect souls. Brute stays close to Makeda and each clop goes up a flank with paingivers spread out between all three beasts.

Second turn he charges his Storm clad 15 or so inches aided by a spell from Kaye into my Cyclops on the right flank and beats him down pretty good. Then he charges his storm knights on the same flank into the brute and thundercats. Kills the clops and puts a few damage point on two cats. On my left flank he runs his lancer into my Cetrati to set up flank bonuses for his storm knights who charge in. Wiffs some rolls and manages to kill just one cetrati. both single kills on each flank gives up soul tokens to each AG. Uses a sentinal to shoot some praets killing just two and fueling my AG further. My second turn I upkeep savagery and run my cetrati around and kill some storm knights. I then activate Makeda and cast carnage and savagery on my praets leaving her with 0 focus. Praets run into the rest of the storm knights and kill most of the unit off. He passes his command check. Cyclops moves up into the lancer and leaves it with a few undamaged boxes. Karax charge into a sentinal and arlan strangeways. With Carnage up kill arlan and leave the sentinal with a few undamaged boxes.

My Brute on the right flank slams his Iron Clad thru some of his storm knights killing 2-3. Cats activate leap and kill a few SK's and put some damage points on the Iron Clad. He passes his command check go figure. Turn two ends with almost his entire army engaged except Kraye and a Defender. Turn three starts and here is were I realise my mistake as I left Makeda with 0 focus and didn't realise that his light jacks count as light calvary. His two sentinals leave combat ignoring free strikes and take shots at Makeda with a spell up that allows him free boosts with ranged attacks. He misses both shots. He takes a shot with his Defender misses. At this point I know I was extremely lucky and also know that was his last attempt at a victory as the rest of my army can just beat his down which I precede to do. Instead of the caster kill I leave Kraye alone because at this point it was better to see just what he could do so I know how to handle him in the future. The game ends with him trying one more assasination run with Kaye as that was all he really had. My AG blocke the run tho and he charged it instead. He hits and leaves 4 damage boxes. Kraye earlier took some damage from some Karax and Cetrati so that when the AG retaliatory struck it was all over.

Nice battle report. Never played vs Kaye.
Well, Makeda is a troop warcaster. But I think the list lacks a heavy warbeast like a Titan as you have Paingivers able to enrage the Titan.

Titans for me tend to work best with Morgul and Xerxes were thier speed isn't as much of a factor. I actually ran just two Kreas over the last weekend with E-Morgul and went undefeated so it really just depends on the caster and what you intend to do. A smart opponent tends to bog down your Heavy beasts/jacks with screeners or destroys it early.

Well, you used Karax and Cetrati. They both have shield wall. I thought one of them would suffice. This would allow you to add a Krea.
