This is my 1500 tourney list for next weekend im testing tommorrow though against tau so.. any input before then would be appreciated.

Canoness w/ eviscerator, Jump Pack, Book of St Lucius, cloak of St Aspira 115

Inquisitor Lord w/ Psychic Hood, 3x Acolyte, 89 pts

SOB squad w/ heavy flamer, meltagun, VSS w/ Book of st lucius 209 pts
x4

816 pts

Seraphim Squad 5 seraphim w/2 inferno pistols, Vss w/ Eviscerator, BOSL
180 pts

2x Exorcists.
135 x2 = 270

it comes out to 1490 so I could add something, maybe a combi flamer or something, or drop a book and add and inferno pistol. the idea is the canoness sticks with the seraphim, so she doesnt die and then they split up and tank hunt seperately. the inquisitor hides in cover. and uses his hood to block any powers( mostly for eldar) and the exorcists do thier thing. Also I would like to maybe add a callidus as I have an inquis anyway, so if you can think of anything I can drop for that let me know. Thanks in advance for the comments.

Sisters don't really need hoods that much, the 5+ save is usually enough unless you are list tailoring vs eldar or chaos marines. And the rest of the retinue is kinda pointless.

here is a list I've had decent luck with:

SOB with rhino (EA, SL, Smoke), melta hflamer, vet with book and ev x3

exorcist x3

Seraphim x8 including 2 hand flamers, and a vet with evis book and plasma

Canoness with ev, inferno, book, cloak, jump pack, and mantle.

Yes, the units have to much wargear, but they can pretty much individually handle anything. The thing is that assaults are more common in 5th ed it seems, and vehicles are easier to kill in CC than before, so giving everyone anti tank war gear seems to make a fair bit of sense. A heavy flamer blast or 2 will kill anything non meq, and melta guns are best for taking out av 14 which you will see more of. The 3 exorcists are to take out enemy transports, so you can dictate the pace of battle.

I gave the rhinos the obv EA and smoke, because transports need to be moving to be useful. I also gave them the cheap searchlight because dawn of war is a standard mission type, and using your exorcists somewhat reliably turn 1 is nice.

The cannoness is a monster/vehicle hunting menace. With proper faith usage, and using cover well, you can take out just about anything you feel like with this 2+ save jumping melta/chainsword weilding nun. You can make her get a 2+ invul when you feel like it, and with the +2 strenth you can instant kill T 4 special charecters. The mantle isn't needed per say, but if you get unlucky and roll a 1 vs anything S6+ early on in a battle, you will be glad you took it. You also will want to use the seraphim to accompany the cannoness to battle; the IC rules changed. Even though the canoness is one of the few IC that can potentially survive an entire armies shooting if you get lucky, it still should be joined to a unit.

Another use for the exorcists is to take out annoying obliterators and crisis suits, as these multi wound models are often the best shooting your opponent will feild. Normally they are hard to kill, but vs an army that can put out 3d6 S8 AP 1 shots a turn, they quickly die.

Seraphim are a hole filling unit, they can take on many things in CC, can burn through hordes with 2 twin linked flamers, and is decent at slicing open tanks with the evicerator. I don't recommend using the plasma pistol unless you NEED to, thats one expensive vet!

I don't think I've lost a game vs tau with sisters yet, as their transports aren't THAT hard to kill, their anti tank units have limited shots usually, and the average troop they run are crispy vs heavy flamers.

Make no mistake, this list isn't the best thing you can do with sisters. But it is fun, and vs some armies its just mean. Expect to lose to gunline orks, guard, and the rare gunline tau. You will probably win vs Meq type armies, and KoS and Killa Kan orks. If you want an easy win vs orks, and heck just about anyone, run the new 5th ed immolator spam list. Costs alot to get up and running, but its really good in the new meta game.

1) I only have 2 exorcists so.... Im only running 2 Im not using proxies and not buying another, I dont really find it necessary.

2) I normally dont run the inquis, in fact I never have, but I would use the psy hood against eldar(eldrad)fortune and guide which can just be brutal. Plus the 5+ save only works on avg 2 times a game so.. we'll see, if my buddy who plays eldar isnt going I prolly wont take him.

3) Im not expecting any orks or nids for horde, maybe some Ig, not sure yet, Maybe Ill switch out 1 squad of troops for celestians with an imolator.

4) About the canoness I do agree with your point on vehicle hunting she fills the role perfectly, but as for MCs or even squads shes only WS4 I1 A3(4 on charge) so even with invuln saves she has an unacceptable chance of dying in alot of places, especially with so much S6 out there, sure a charge against a 1W fex might be good but against alot shes going to not kill it and potentially have to face 1-2 more rounds of combat before she bites it, this might look decent as shes tying up a MC but her chances of survial drop alot if your facing anything with WS 5 or an invuln save.

Lastly the evisc on the reg squads just arent worth it IMO espescially with the new wound rules, sure they get in combat alot but Id rather have them take a few wounds, break and run then take 2 s6 pfist attacks back, its ok against vehicles, but ive got the seraphim and canoness and meltas and exorcists(which I do agree are better on heavy troops) and 50 points is alot for a model that I really dont want to get into CC so its kind of useless against any army that doesnt assault me, as normally Id rather be shooting them, and doesnt do a whole lot against the ones who do.

All in all I appreciate the advice, I will probably drop the inquis and bump up the phim unit like you suggested we'll see how it goes tommorrow. Thats mostly how Ive been running my list and its done decent, I might also put a mantle on my canoness as she seems to die too much to that 1 roll against S6, I comtemplated that myself, so we'll see. If you're into it- a land raider allways pulls the rug out from underneath an opponent's feet, when it's in a sisters army. It also allows the hood to stay hidden quite well...
I'd make the inquisitor a daemonhunter, and give him mystics, to suprise deepstrikers. Even better, is having those mystics in the raider, so you can measure from the hull for nominating a squad's shots.
