1500 pts.

Wazdakka

Warboss w/ PK, attack squig, cybork body, bike, bosspole

4x 4 Bikers + Nob w/ PK, bosspole

2x 3 Bikers + Nob w/ PK, bosspole

2x 2 Buggies w/ Rokkits, RPJ

2 Trakks w/ Rokkits, RPJ

It's mainly a fun list, but I'm having a pretty good record with it so far. Just posting to get ideas about how I might mess about with it for more effectiveness, or expand it for higher points.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

Seconded. It would keep with your theme and they are rock hard.

Caveat: They are also a lot of points. Mine ran 650 points in the Ard Boyz, but 2 out of 3 games performed great.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

nob bikerz make nobs go from crap in the elites section to OMFG ORK SEER COUNCIL!!!11111

Its kinda ridiculous how hard they hurt. FNP and a 4+ save does a lot for them.

Yeah, they're on the list for expansion past 1500... but the cost below 1500 cuts into the numbers hardcore. I dunno, I'll probably mess with them some.

First casualty will most likely be the buggies/trakks. They so rarely do anything effective (barring a sweet butt-shot on an incautious venerable dread); heck, they barely hit. So, that's 260 freed up. For that, I can get 3 Nob Bikers, 2 with PKs, and a Painboy. Worthwhile, or too small?

The best way is to find out with a game. Might I suggest dropping the Bosspole off of the Warboss seeing as every other unit has a Bosspole attached? From a fluff point makes sense but a gaming point for a more points for more stuff view you could drop the bosspole for a few extra points. I'd be tempted to give one or two Nob Bikerz a Big Chopper for some solid I hit first power hits, but I just like Big Chopperz. It's a nice force. Oh, and the Nob Bikerz become a Troops choice with a Warboss around as well, so take a small unit of bikerz and increase the size of the other ones or maybe take a Deffkopta or two with some big bombs for extra killyness, or increase the Nobz bikerz a bit more, lol.

Got any battle reports floating about?

Not at the moment... I'll see if I can get a record of one of my games this week and post it up. Maybe try a few variations as well.

I spent an hour of Friday night fending off a unit of Nob Bikerz with my foot Eldar, which were shooting very little else. They made a tremendous fire magnet and STILL had enough oomph to hurt when they got to my lines. Howerver, after munching one unit of Avengers, they got pelted by everything else and died. So don't put all your eggs in that basket, but with 3+ other biker units you should be golden to munch anything they can catch (as a sensible opponent will have been shooting Nobs for the first couple turns).

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!
