First i want to say thank you Tacobake, for writing a well thought out Eldar Tactica i realy enjoyed reading, you covered every unit.
i just wanted to add some things you missed
Support Weapons ... you always take a warlock (unless you're really short on points or planning to be firing the d-cannon or Shadow as barrage) reason being he can fire one of the battery ... ok thats only 1" less scatter but its amazing how often it helps (with the vibros this doesn't help as much unless you've only got the one ... but then why do you only have one?)... also Shadow Weaver have one thing going for the vs warwalkers they're so cheap for a 48"G S:6 AP:- Blast weapons ... makes a mess of orks
you also forgot the gun boat Autarch option ... nothing is more fun then Reaper Launcher on a jetbike (BS 6 so he gets a reroll at BS 1 ... which i make more often then i should ^_^) can still take a Laser Lance and Mandiblasters ... he then comes close to being a second Mugan Ra (on the charge any way)
oh and finaly EML on a vyper or serpent? give them a Shurican cannon as well ... if you're firing off Krak missile you can't shoot it; still most of the time S:6 wouldn't be able to hurt it any way ... but firing off a plasm missile you can and its only 10p you know you want to.

Rangers and Pathfinders Pathfinders especially do well in cover (watch out for flamers) and stack with Doom. Quality infantry. Note that while Rangers infiltrate, Pathfinders Scout. missed this first time through ... you ignored quite alot of their good stuff (and importanly made it sound like pathfinders didn't get infiltrate) Rangers and Pathfinders Rangers are the second best snipers in 40k; they come with 'Infiltrate', 'Move Through Cover' and 'Stealth' special rules. Pathfinders are the best snipers in 40k; they come with every rule the rangers have but also get 'Scouts' special rule, may ignore difficult terrain and have the '+1 to cover saves' conferred by the stealth rule boosted to +2. Ranger Long Rifle is the best sniper rifle in 40k along with pinning and rending it gets its own special rule. Any ranger that rolls a 6 to hit or a Pathfinder that rolls a 5+ to hit count as being AP:1 which ever you take just watch out for flamers and any thing else that ignores cover saves
may have used the best snipers in 40k a bit much ^_^ but they really are (many edits for missing ,.

do Pathfinders get Infiltrate, I thought they lost it. Oop. So they do. "Rangers (and Pathfinders) have the Infiltrate ..."
That, and just to make a note of it I was a little embarrased getting the Executioners mixed up on Maugan-Ra and Jan-zar. I think Maugan-Ra was S7 in the last book.
I changed my error on the Infiltrate. After this, I think I am happy with it and leave to everyone else to go crazy with it if they like. I just thought Dakka needed an Eldar tactica, it is handy for new players. Lots of different, confusing units. I do not want to get into a "wiki-war" editing it until the end of time.
if it gets too messy, one of the [ARTICLE MOD]s can go in and clean it up. w00t.
I might make a Tyranid one but I do not think I will get around to it. I leave it to someone else to do a Tau one (the other 4th ed Codex). I have literally zero experience with Tau in the new edition and I cannot even imagine what is involved in dealing with a lack of LoS blocking area terrain. Does J-S-J even exist anymore?

i look forward to seeing Tyranid Tactica ... and yes we did need one for the eldar, i was wondering about it since the Eldar Army Analysis was posted (which was unfair to alot of units and i didn't it like much)
J-S-J can work. I tend to see them jumping round corners or up on to hills and back down again. i also know some tau player making new terrain features to give them an advantage (Walls and hills big enough to hide 3 crise suites) ... i would complain about it but i've been doing the same with the new buildings rule, its very hard to get a unit out of armour 14 bunker (and very easy to get a unit of eldar into it)

Well, it's not done done, as there are plenty of entries that could use images, but then again
we don't have great numbers of profiles with images in them to choose from, and
I'd rather not raid all of the Im Bolc images and the like.

I am putting my Maugan Ra joke back in, but I will say it is satire. Cool? It is true it is disinformation.
It makes a nice wrap-up to the HQ section. Flow.

Nice article.
Though you really should have mentioned that Maugan Ra is really Chuck Norris, just to complete the chain...
Though I have to question your love of vectored engines...with skimmers not being destroyed on a "immobilized" result unless they are going flat out--I find the points for VE to be better spent elsewhere.
Cheers!

Added: War walkers in close combat.
“Remember that any Exarch powers also effect the Autarch.”
Are you sure about that? I would love it if that was true, but my interpretation of the rules are that a unit with certain universal rules like hit and run loses them if joined by a character who doesn’t possess that ability.
Under the exarch’s profiles it says they grant that ability to their unit, I am not sure if that includes independent characters hopping on board with the team. Was there a FAQ saying Autarchs benefit from exarch abilities? Can my farseers also make use of this?

Its a bit late but exarch powers are those that are taken by an exarch ... these powers then refrence USR but the point is the Autarch gets access to the exarch power so then gets the USR (excluding stalker which says he doesn't get it)

yarr Exarch takes powers, Autarch joins squad, Autarch gets whatever the powers are same as the rest of the squad. But ONLY Autarchs. Farseers don't get the powers, for example. I don't have a codex handy but it is in there. That's why they're good!
There is another Eldar tactica in the system written by someone named "Stelek," you guys should take a look at that there could be some typos or something.

i think that this is a great tactica. However my only concern is that of the wraithlord. it says that the wraithlord doesnt really need the wraithsword. I disagree. I think that a Wraithlord should definitly be given a wraithsword because it doesnt have a particulaly high weapon skill so re-rolling in combat is very useful and then why give it a brightlance? It can have so much better especially seeing as a brightlance only kills one target at a time. Plus if you want the brightlance for tank hunting It gets 2D6 + 10 for amour penetration! so I beleive that a starcannon or a shuriken cannon would be better.

Thanks.
Well Wraithsword makes it better in melee but it is a pretty nice shooting platform too. Wraithsword + Eldar Heavy Weapon or many players like to go Brightlance + Eldar Missile Launcher.
Now Brightlance + Eldar Missle Launcher is an anti-vehicle loadout not necessarily an anti-infantry layout. If you want anti-infantry of course you want the Shuriken Cannon and maybe the Wraithsword.

Any units hit have to take a Difficult/Dangerous terrain test for any movement in their next phases.
Same bottom weapon TL SurCat to SurCan and other vehicle upgrades.
I have found they are AWESOME against 'Nids.
