I'm not sure if anyone has posted this this topic before, but I just wanted to know what you peoples thinks.

Anyways my question was, can a farseer inside a transport cast his psychic powers that require no line of sight from inside his transport?

I know their has been some back and forth on this topic in our game store but I have been wondering what everyone this of this.

It's in the rules.

Sorry I can't quote them for you.

I'm sure someone else can.

Anything that has an in-game effect from a model inside a vehicle that does not require a firing port is measured from the vehicles hull.

See that's what I thought, but some people are saying that it requires a firing point. So why would something like a firing point that gives LOS for something from a transport be required for something that doesn't need LOS.

That's why it's in the rulebook, and only shooting powers require firing ports (since they follow the shooting rules) or of course an open-topped vehicle.

Which would be...weirdboyz from ork vehicles, I think.

You'll need a fire port for eldrich storm or mind war (so you can't use those in serpents or falcons). Doom, guide, and fortune can all be cast out of the transports though since they are not shooting power and don't require line of sight.

Threads should be like skirts: long enough to cover what's important but short enough to keep it interesting.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I just got a lot of guff over it during 'ard boys, but the judge allowed it. So ever since then I have been curious what others think about that. So when I go to the next round I can have some soild facts to back my case up just incase someone wants to argue it.

just so you know eldritch storm does not require line of sight, but it according to RAW can't fire without a firing port
