Do you need to see the unit you are assaulting? Since TLOS is being used, I am simply wondering.

I see no mention of it under 'disallowed assaults' on PG 33 of the Little BRB.

Now, obviously, if you can't see it you can't shoot at it and if you do shoot you can't assault a unit you didn't shoot at (cept for multiple assaults).

Example: I can see a unit and I shoot at it. Enemy removes models and I can't see the unit during the assault phase. I am assuming I can still assault it.


Please note - terms like 'always/never' are carried with the basic understanding that there are exceptions to the rule, and therefore are used to mean generally...

If they're in range, they can be assaulted.

What is blocking the view? If it's a ruined building, the attachers can (and, in fact, probably HAVE to) assault right through it.

Line of sight is not a requirement for assault in 40k, only in fantasy.
