So i have an opportunity to go to a small tournament at warhammer world in a couple of weeks and am of several minds which army to take. i narrowed it down to one of 3 but just cant decide. i expect the field to be a whole range of things (probably low on DE/Demons), but there will probably be a fair few new SM armies knocking around.

Plague marines are hard to deal with in small games. They are the anvils for the hammers of my prince and oblits. The ions are there so the oblits can DS accurately in DoW and because i had 11pts spare. problems are lack of range and manuverability.

This one has a bit more fire power. Blastmasters are nice with lash, especially since i am expecting a big influx of SM. Its a glass cannon though. while the NM are good, it doesnt take much kill them. another option would be to remove the blastmasters and add it an extra 2 or 3 NM with sonic blasters.

This one has a lot of punch. 2 princes and 5 oblits will see off a fair few armies if their players arent careful. All my points are tied up in big things though. an army that has enough bodies/firepower to kill off my PMs will probably win.

i like list 1.

List 2 is a bit more fluffy. So I'd go for it.

Vote List 1 as well

I would have to say list one. It is just more resilient.
