You.. you just... You just totally flabbergasted me. marmite painting. Genius. May I ask how you got the idea?

As for the rest: Second (or sixth or whatever) the praise of your use of the FW renegades to create Marines. The proportions are really, really cool. Could you please post a pic of them next to a conventional Marine if you get the chance to do so?

Also, what bitz did you use for the Termie heads? I love the blind bell helmets. Are those Krieg heads with GS over the upper face, or some other bit? And did you just insert the heads?

Finally, I join the crowd waiting with baited breath for the rust painting tutorial. Your method blows the GW method (published in the Ogre Kindoms-era WD articles) out of the water. What base color are you using for the reddish brown?

Ooh- one more thing. I like the looted Arbites tank among the Rhinos. That could make a convincing Damocles in Apocalypse if you wanted it to.

The troops are even truescale. I think this is the most seriously impressive Marine army that I have seen in years.

So are the converted infantry that you built on regular running Marine legs shorter than the ones built on WHFB chaos warrior legs, or have you compensated for height somehow? I see that the crouched poses might help, but I was wondering if you were stretching the running legs too or doing something similar.

Man, you are one very skilled illustrator. When you get done with the LotD pic I hope you shop it to GW.
