Hi all. I am in desperate need on some green ink, but not just any green ink. I am in the process of painting my tyranid horde and for the skin(or 'fleshy parts' if you will) I paint the green ink over a white basecoat. I really like how it looks and have several modes already painted but have run into a dilemma. I am nearly out of the ink I have left and do not have enough to finish off the models I have, and I know I will be buying more. The green ink I use is the old green ink GW used to make, the kind they discontinued several years ago. I have tried hard to find some at hobby stores in my state, asked gaming freinds, I've even called GW a year or two back but haven't been able to find any. I've tried using other brands of inks and even mixing GW inks and other brands of inks but it just doesn't acheive the same tone as the old GW stuff. If anyone has any of the GW green ink they can part with, I would REALLY, REALLY appreciate it. Help a fellow gamer out....

Call them (scroll down for the number on the main page)...I saw a bunch of OOP GW paints there. They may have some.

Emailed them last night and got a reply back that they don't have any of it. Thanks though. Anybody else?

I have about half a pot, which is slightly thicker than ink has any right to be presumably due to evaporation. Needs watering, to be sure. Wrong country though. I love my old green ink too.

They have no Green Ink left whatsoever! Sorry mate!

FLGS has three bottles of "Dark Green Ink" One with a white cap and two with black caps. No "Green Ink".

I live in the middle of nowhere, and the RT store has a ton of old paints (lightning blue, etc) Ill check at lunch today for green ink. I live in North America.. east of alaska north, but still, better than transatlantic crossing.

Matt Varnish, let me know what you find out. If you see any of the other really old, OOP paints I'd probably take them too. Where I live in northern Utah there isn't any GW paint and I don't want to buy each color in boxes of 6 pots like they make you order them now.

Since when does GW make you order 6 pots of each color? (Are you speaking of purchasing through your local store?)

Whereabouts in No. Utah do you live? When I lived there (granted quite a few years ago) there were at least 5 or 6 stores in No. Utah that sold GW stuff. If your local store won't buy you paint without charging you for the complete 6 pots of paint, then they are truely doing themselves and you a disservice.

Well I went over to the RT store on my lunch hour, and no dice, no green ink. However, he had one pot of ghostly grey, some storm blue, nauseating blue, imperial purple, bilious green, leprous brown, lightning blue, beaten copper (which i snagged, I LOVED that color), orange ink, purple ink and magenta ink.

He also had tyranid warriors in blister packs. 3 of em. If you wanted to make a really old school brood I bought from him 2 epic Dominatrixes to make zoat-style zoanthropes out of for my Hive Fleet Leviathan.

Anyways, I think when I moved here I ditched my old inks, but when I get home Ill double check for you, just in case.
