I'm, looking for a sanity check to see if I'm reading this right in the new 'dex. I would like to take a Space Marine Captain, put him in terminator armor, and exchange his storm bolter for a combi flamer. Then, I would like him to have hellfire rounds. Being as he has a "boltgun" again I think its legal, what are the opinions out there?

Sounds fine to me.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

You are sane on this matter. There's nothing excluding a Terminator Captain with a Combi-Flamethrower from taking Hellfire rounds. It also sounds like a good idea.

Perfectly legal according to the RAW.

I am glad to hear I'm not alone in reading it this way. Thanks.

Yea, perfectly fine. It is also perfectly fine to buy him a bike w/hellfire rounds too.
