Heya Folks, since I'm not too much of a fan of the original GW KFF model I'm working on my own and am looking for feedback on what I have so far. Main point is do the rings look better all centered to the front, or randomly rotated? This guys is gonna stand behind my Mek with a Burna on a 40mm base (due to 5th Ed base rules). Will post pics of the 2 later together. Balls on end of each wire are not done yet, just a rough idea.

Has a sort of classic 50s scifi/ world's fair vibe to it. I like it though it's a tad non ramshackle for Orks.

Penetrating so many secrets, we cease to believe in the unknowable. But there it sits nevertheless, calmly licking its chops.

It's neat, but I think it is way too big.

Definately make them all look like they are spinning, it will add quite a bit of dynamic to the model. I like what you have done so far! I love the grot holding it up. The only thing I would add to this is some worky bits (knobs and dials, buttons) and some cables (guitar string).

Nice idea!

Edit: I dont' think it is really that big, as it is a grot holding it up. One other item you may want to consider is not having it be asymetrical.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Definitely spinning.

Agree with Dez that some cables and extra bitz to orkify it would help, but overall love the idea.

Awesome!

If you want some different "types" of forcefield rods I must recommend the energy barrier models from the battle for macragge boxed set. They make excellent KFF parts =)

I plan to use this for my second force field model.
