So I had this idea and i'd like some feedback. I used to be a whitescars player before the 4th edition codex and while i could still play them in 4th they were no longer worth the points having lost hit&run as well as the extra attack. I'm a very aggressive player and enjoy speed and properly applied brute force. So with the new dex I put this list together. Let me know what you think and how it will fair.

(I like the support aspect of the Sternguard, they are there to either soften units for the Biker's or to lay the hurt on larger units like MC's, W.L.'s, and such.)

So what do you guys think? How would it fair out there?

I would switch at least one bike group to anti-hoard work... 2 Flamer, Heavy Bolter. Just so you can rock hoard armies like orks.

Another option is look at a 7-bike scout bike with 3 GLs.. that runs you 180 points. That gives you a flanker or terrain denial unit with outflanking or scout move possibilities. Fair trade for 1 sterngard unit. Better yet leave your bikers the way they are and switch them both out for 2 7-bike scout units. 33 bikes harassing in front and 14 bikes flanking off the side... Your regulars are good at AT work. The scout bikers can pelt 6 blast templates a piece. Lose 1 scout bike a piece and add some pretties to the scout sergeants. Otherwise find another 50 points to burn and run 3 5 scout bike squads each with three GL's maybe combi-flamer for the sergeant. I think that works to 150 each and you have 3 harassers to cover for your bikes.

If you need to throw away a unit to get away from an orkie horde or equivalent.. why not a non scoring 180 point unit instead of 300 point scoring troopers?

Another easy option would be trade a few bikers for a chaplain on a bike... If you have to charge, why not reroll those misses in the first turn? Should improve the odds of dominating a combat and maybe getting the -5+ morale roll out of your opponent.

Some good ideas, what about this list?

Some changs that could be good or bad but that make the list a little more varied and give it a less cookie cutter feel. Thoughts?

Now you may be limited in your army lists by construction rules preventing named characters but why didn't you make room for Kor'sarro Kahn in this list. Doesn't the combination of him and a captain pretty much give you a white scars list?

It saved me 40 points not to field him. My character doesn't give outflank but i can live with that due to the speed of the list. It's still white scars without fielding one of their captains. They have at least 4 other primary company captains i can use to represent them which is who this guy is. I don't mind special characters i just don't care much for him yet. I'll probably try him out a few times but overall i'll probably stick with my captain.
