Seriously....
The ambiguity of this rule is stifling my existence.
What does "If more than one character in your army has the Chapter Tactics special rule you must choose which will apply." mean to you?
The problem is the "must choose which will apply" phrase I think. Whom can chose, all your guys wholesale or just some?
So its either;
A. You can choose which CT you get for each squad, or
B. Every unit has to choose the same CT and taking two Characters with CT special rule is dumb. D-U-M-B, dumb.

Chapter Tactics applies to the whole army. So if two Characters have the Chapter Tactics rule, then you must decide which Chapter Tactics rule applies to the whole army.

That phrase means (to me at least) that you can't have BOTH CT and must pick one for your army.

Please note - terms like 'always/never' are carried with the basic understanding that there are exceptions to the rule, and therefore are used to mean generally...

It's pretty clear cut because chapter tactics is never a squad by squad thing, it's a single rule on a character which happens to affect the whole army, you choose which characters single rule will affect your whole army.
Allmost every Chapter Tactics rule says "ALL units in your army..." so if you ever had a chapter tactic applied to only some units, even if it was just you tried to use shrike to give your assault marines fleet but keep combat tactics on your other units then you are breaking the requirements of that rule.
I think this is the only time I have seen that phrase brought into question by anyone, mind if I ask what prompted it?

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Thats how I see it too, but some players actually argued with me about it lol. Sounds reasonable to me.

Chapter Tactics affects the whole army. Pick one.
It's not necessarily dumb to have two such characters. It does add some tactical flexibility within a fixed-list environment like a tournament.

Yes, they pick one at the start of the game. So, Lysander and Shrike are on the field - YES I wan't Lysander to have 'Hit and Run'

You DO realize that Lysander would only get hit and run if he joined Kosarro Khan's unit, right?
Edot: Actually if I remember correctly, he wouldn't even get it then... H&R is a rule that's lost if an IC without it joins the unit.
