(Not entirely sure if this is the right place; if not can a mod please move it? Thanks)
So... I'm looking through my more-or-less advance copy of the new Marine Codex and several paint schemes of the example SM chapters spring out at me. They are the Iron Knights, Knights of the Raven, and Doom Legion - which is to say, the chapters with metallic colouring overall (boltgun and/or silver).
I really want to do one of these chapters - but after a quick search I can't find any real information on any of them :( Anyone know of info/places that detail any of these chapters?
Cheers,
Viperion

Lexicanium has the following - not much info though...
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Doom_Legion
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Iron_Knights
You might also try the Silver Skulls, a long-established chapter founded from the Ultramarines. They've been around since Rogue Trader...

Also, the Dan Abnett book "Brothers of the Snake" details the Iron Snakes chapter, who are gunmetal in color with red and white trim. LOTS of background on them in that book...

A good place for info about space marine chapters: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/
Doom legion ? Never heard before C: SM.
Knights of the raven are new,but I think they are descendants of the raven guard, so you could use RG fluff.
Iron knights are descendants of the Imperial fists, maybe they are a crossbreed between codex and BT.

There's also the Doom Eagles, which are silver with, iirc, red and black trim.

ArbitorIan:
Thanks but the lexicanum entries are... less than helpful The Iron Snakes entry is pretty good but the rest are somewhat nebulous
The Doom Eagles look quite cool but again there isn't that much info available.
Will try B&C
Thanks guys,

You're almost always best off with your own chapter. You never know when GW will develop fluff for these throw-away chapters that contradicts what you do.
White Scars were around for a long time before GW declared they were the all bike army. Dark Angels had several retcons going from black armor to green, going from grim with all black banners to colorful with native american feathers, then morphing into monks and now into monks who like feathers.
FEH!
Best to keep to your own.

Some would accuse them of being monks who tickle with said feathers but I am not one to judge...
