I am going to be going 50/50 with a friend on Black Reach, and because i am a csm player i had a few ideas of what i could do with them. Its either i convert the sm completely, replacing sm parts with csm parts, or i constuct them as sm but make them The 2nd Company of my Black legions army, saying that they were loyalists recently turning to the chaos gods because they were used like pupets by the emporer. What should i do? any other sugestions?

You could sell them or swap them on the swap shop. use alot of green stuff maybe

The only figures that would proove difficult to convert would be the terminators and the captian.

Chaos most definitively. You don't need to model them exactly identical either, just add a lot of pointy thingies everywhere, skulls here and there, and specially, HORNS, and I think people wouldn't about it... Unless they're bad losers, cuz there always are

Swap out the helmets, file off the tactical symbol, add a couple spikes to the shoulders and yur all set. I don't recall how the backpack is attached/molded into it though I bet with a small amount of effort you can get chaos backpacks onto them as well.

Yeah, it wouldn't be hard to convert them. I might not even bother to file off the tactical symbol. Just make it looks properly beat-up and abused.

In the pack the backpack come seperate, so i could replace them with the chaos backpacks i have left over from other things.

You could "defile" all the symbols instead of removing them... Alas Naruto's slashed headbands? Y'know, to represent that they are in a period of transition.

And then add some gore.
