Hi all,
I have the models for a pre-new codex 4th Ed Army, and I've been really impressed with the new stuff in WD and want to try and get into 40K for real this time with a 5th Ed BA army using the newly errata'd WD/BA Codex. I've dabbled in 40K, WARMACHINE, and HORDES, but I never relaly 'click' on the whole army list and tactics bit, so I'm looking for some guidance... I haven't pulled my BAs out of storage in something like two years, but far as I can tell, I've got the following, and want to use most of it without having to buy too much more, and I was really hoping for a scaleable (1k, 154, 1750) list so I can play the field and get to know the army, and get some games in. Here's what I can figure out model-wise from my old pics, so I guess go from there?:

1 Baal Pred (mounting HF sponsons)
1 Furioso Dread (would like to use this)
1 Dread currently w/ Assault Cannon/CQW
5 Ass. Termies
some (not really sure) plastic Termies
Misc. Tac marines
DC models
5man Ass. Marine squad
1 Razorback (currently mounting HB)
1 Vet squad
1 Landspeeder Tornado
Lots of Scouts Marines (mixed weapons)
Misc Honor-guard type figs
Corbulo, grail-master
1 Librarian
The Techmarine w/ Servo Harness boxed set (4 servitors)
Plenty of misc. parts and the modeling skills to make things like Chaplains if needed

So... what've I really got (aside from a headache worth of models to strip and rebuild)? I was thinking assault and spray-template heavy, but I've really not got much idea.
Thanks!

Just forgot your own models for a while, and keep focus on the list.Decide the list which you want to play.

When the list contains some unit which you have not got,you can buy them, convert them,or just make some models "to count as" them in playing.

And IMO...Corbulo,ASM squads ,Tac squads with their transport vehicles, and DC could build the backbone of a BA army.

OK, thanks for the advice... is it practical to be trying to make one basic list that scales for points, or do people typically have a list for each that is totally unique?
