That 62 Bikes that can flank march on you. You can combat squad as needed to fit opponent. Like if there are a lot of tanks you can split up the three melta squad into 6 melta squads. or if there are a lot of orks you can keep them as big squads to keep your powerfist hidden. This list can shoot hard at close range and then charge getting stuck in. Then the command squad jumps in and out of combat wherever it is needed. Seems pretty hard. C&C Welcome.

Only suggestion I would make is how you divy up your anti-tank.

Can you do this:

8 Bikes w/ Dual Melta
1 Attack bike w/ Multi Melta

And then split 4 w/ the Sergeant and keep the Attack Bike with 4 bikes. Or does the Attack Bike have to go by itself.

it splits in half and you can attach the attack bike to either. What i usually do is do 4 bikes with 2 melta guns and then 4 bikes with a PF and an attack bike with a MM. This gives you two squads that can bust a tank pretty well. I usually like to leave 2 squads at full strength so the command squad has stuff to bounce off of.

Was thinking of putting in scout bikers too, but that 4+ save kind of turned me off. Although a 10 strong squad with 3 grenade launchers is pretty hard.

This is what I would do, assuming your point costs are correct. Rather, this is what I am _going_ to do, haha!

Here I would do one of two things: Take 3/3 for the TROOP rather than 2/4 and put in the two Attack Bikes, probably Heavy Bolters. After doing that maybe take the Heavy Bolter Attack Bikes out of TROOP and put them all in FAST ATTACK.

But better I like this I think. I might not have the points costs right.

So the Melta bikes Combat Squad and the Power Fists go looking for something big and nasty. The other bike squads stay together, shooting their guns and then charge when needed.

Now that is not actually what I would do. The first thing I would do is bulk out the Command Squad to 10 models, since it is packing two Characters, an Apothocary and gets Furious Charge free. Assuming they are normal Space Marines.

After that, the PF/ Melta squads are good squads. 4 is probably about right in 2500. You probably only really need 3 Powerfists.

After that, do not take a Flamer squad unless it is also bringing an Attack Bike. An Attack bike is 50 points with two guns, two wounds and two attacks. Superior to regular bikes in every way, so long as you can take a bodyguard with it.

So once I have a nice beefy Command Squad (if they are 20/25 points each then 7 or 8 is probably enough) and 4 of those Combat Squad ones I would bulk out with 5 min/ max 2x Flamer Heavy Bolter Attack Bike squads. Probably with Power Weapons, just because you have a Sergeant already. I would not Combat Squad, I would keep them together and look at getting them in combat after they shoot a couple times. Especially if the Command Squad is Outflanking.

So that is what I would do, I hope it makes sense. I do not have the Codex, unfortunately.

So I would do this, just to keep the general theme. This is improved, assuming you need a full squad to count as TROOP. But you get the idea.

So I would probably take out one anti-infantry squad and add 160 points to the Command Squad.

So all you need after this is ... 50 or so bikes and 7 or 8 Attack Bikes. Comes in a cool $1100 CAN or so.

But the new book definately helps you field a first rate White Scars army. I am more encouraged now than I was when the first rumours were out. It looks like bikes are cheaper now, which makes up for the loss of Skilled Rider.

Actually I would probably do this. Just because it is such a big points game. Call it one anti-tank squad for each 500 points. Just to be clear what I would do is keep the Multimelta in with the Meltaguns and go after tanks directly instead of screwing around. Hopefully you can do a good number on their tanks in the early game. The mixed approach works too, but everything can shoot their TL Bolters anyway. May as well go after tanks if you are going to go after tanks.:

And then another couple bikes in the Command Squad. Lose a couple Power Weapons you get another Relic Blade or something in there. While we are talking I would probably forget the Power Firsts and take I4 weapons since you are getting Furious Charge with the Khan.

That, and Scout bikes are pussy bikes for pussy marines. .

Probably lose the Powerfists and a Storm Shield in the Command Squad and add another bike there. So if it is now 6 from 5 (I am too lazy to double check) it is now ... 44 bikes. Only about ... $865 CAN, including the 5 Attack Bikes. Not bad.

Just a heads up but combat squads for bikes allows you to break them up as follows:

5 wounds per combat squad.

As for the rest i also think you guys are about 10 points off on the dual melta, multi-melta attack bike unit. since it's 215 for a bike squad, 20 for the melta's, 50 for the bike and 25 for the power fist. Just to help with points.

Overall this is a lot like what i am considering running. I love bikes but my scars went on the shelf with the loss of the white scars rules. the new rules make it possible to be a scar again.

I like the idea of a seperate HB Attack Bike squad for fire support as well. But in my list i've added some scout squads. 2x10 w/4 SR's, HB, 4xCCW+BP, PF, Combi-Flamer. I combat squad them and mount 2 in the new storm as this gives me some quick strike and some home objective holders. But i think all bikes can finally work too. Have fun

Edit: Oh, and i don't have my codex on me but i think the command squads are now set at 5 models so you can't add more to the unit. Actually, i'm pretty sure since it's a set amount to add bikes, not a per model point amount.
