Hi!
So, I just ordered some Forgeworld Chaos Renegade IG and thought I'd better figure out a cool colour scheme for them.

I want something grittier and more realistic for this army and I'm quite new to this.

Here are my first attempts:

Please ignore crappy green stuff work on the "cthulu"-guardsman.

Comments and suggestions anyone?

Any links to other painted renegades are greatly appreciated.

I think the addition of some white detailing (chaos stars, other symbols, writing on the armor etc. ) could go a long way to making them more visually appealing.

Right now they feel a bit drab (not that that's a bad thing!). I just don't know your overall 'goal' for the paint.

And the mask looks more like the Scarecrow from Batman Begins. Which is definitely right creepy enough for renegade guardsmen!

Yeah, they look a bit drab but that's the look I was going for and the addition of the chaos symbols has not been done. I was thinking of some white pointy arrows on their shoulder plates.

The goal is something a bit more realistic than my bad moon orks =)

I'll add some freehand stuff tonight and repost.
