I am almost finished with my first non-cut and paste conversion, not painted yet. I have been playing with green stuff for about 6 months, not really getting it to do what I wanted it to, but Im not unhappy with the final result. I would love any criticism about anything, anything to help me do a better job in the future. As for taking this model to the point of being ready to be painted, I am going to add a banner to the banner pole (Stock SW banner, definitely going to need to chaos it up abit), and I am going to put fangs on the skull on his belt (dont even know if that can be seen in the pics). Any comments about any finishing touches would be appreciated. Also the last picture is a previous posing, insofar as the right arm is concerned. I think I like the new one better, but Im open to opinions.

What are you going for with the right leg? S'the only part I can't quite make out.

Everything else looks great so far. I really like the idea of fallen wolves... 13th company had to lose a few to the dark powers!

I'm in. Can't wait to see where this is going.

Starts going through his 'awesome thread'-checklist:

- Vikings: check
- Vikings in space: check
- Vikings in space gone bad: check
- Nice green stuff workings:check

- Stamp of approval: CHECK

On a more serious note, this looks great. I have to ditto Grey_death's statement on the leg-thingy, though I'm guessing
it'd make more sense once it's painted.

You should have this guy up in your blog as well. Hard enough to follow one thread from time to time, splitting it up
between them just makes it harder. And it gives us more to read about in your nifty blog

Good luck with this!

Looks real nice, and should paint well, too.

What is the rock on the base made of? Modelling clay? I would have just gone with a real rock.

Also, keep the new pose.

Thanks to all for the comments. About the right leg- this model initially was going to be a runic armored wolf lord, and the skull and chain on the knee had to go. IRL, it looks smoother and more like armor but I may do something with it now that he is a Chaos Lord. And thanks for the suggestion Agandhjin, i will put all future work on this in my blog, to condense

Wow, for only six months of working with greenstuff that is some pretty good modeling!
