every time I have a bad day at rolling dice, my opponent has a good one???

I played orks in a match against a friends eldar last week. We still played 4th. He won the roll off for first turn and blasted all my kans and a looted wagon to oblivion. That left me with 4 trukkmobs, a bikerboss and a couple buggies... The entire army was under protection of a forcefield, but I never made a single roll work. Moreover every shot my opponent hit (most of the time only 10% failed to hit instead of the usual 50%) wounded or penetrated the armour... Still managed to get him into combat, although I was weakend. I only had 3 squads at 8 models or so left... Could not get rid of the falcon and vypers though and they would have blasted me into little bits...

Anyone else had any of those experiences recently where everything he/she (there are women playing the game right ) ended up failing almost everything while the opponent was getting everything he needed and more to work with his tactics... I have this for almost a month now and am getting tired of it... I want to win too

PS I did have fun losing, but that was because of a party we had in the weekend and where talking about that during the fight...

Your brain is a very efficient pattern matching engine, adept at remembering unusual events and forgetting commonplace ones. For every game where you've rolled badly and your opponent well, there's been six games where you've rolled average or better, it's just your brain doesn't preserve those memories as well as the negative experiences.

Well I did have a period of about a year winning almost everything I played... Did focus more on the game then my opponent when that happened.

Now I am more relaxed about playing. I expect not to have a lot left when the slaughter begins. I play orks, it is mandatory to expect that. Still, it would be nice to not fail every 5+ or 6+ I need to roll...

Still curious to hear the nice stories of things blowing up in peoples faces because they failed a few crucial rolles...
