Ok these guys are impossible to find anything on. I was looking through the new Marine codex and saw them. Anyone know anything more than the fact there linked to Imperial fists via Rogal Dorn. And the fact there on a pentiant crusade? I would like to know more aboput the army im painting and theres like nothing.

(I spotted a nice green/white quartered scheme in the back of the 'how to paint space marines' book for a chapter called 'Dark Sons'. Never seen or heard of them before so I'm making it up!!!)

Well I just wondered because they exist and there in the 5th ed codex as a ligit chapter

This is one of GW's "we need pretty pictures" chapters.

Some guy in the studio will paint up a test mini, descide he doesn't want to pursue it, and set it aside. Then next time they're doing a rulebook/codex someone will snap a picture of it, make up a name and 100 words worth of stuff about them, and stick it in the book ,then never speak of them again.

They're mostly hooks to give us a starting point for DIY chapters.
