Just for fun, I thought I'd share our game this past Sunday with any of you who like to reflect on what it was like when you were just starting out. We're relative newbies, and our gaming group just added its 7th member! Woo-hoo! Most of the guys are buying their armies off eBay to accelerate the process. The two players on the Blue Team in this battle report paint their own minis.

Our game-play is super-lenient, so you'll see heretical team-ups and in-army allies. We also use proxies for some figures. Soon, we'll even be generating stats from scratch for non-GW minis. Just forewarning you, so as to avoid being told what we already know.

Here's the link. Hope you enjoy!

wait wait wait wait... huh..?

Man, I have had so many random small games like this.

Did the leman russ do anything? In our realy small battles, tanks like those usually just stomp everything dead. The slip ups were comical ( HQ cannot capture flags?! says who?) and the mix of extremely well painted models with the plain white of primered ones was amusing.

I wouldn't give it an A as far as the actual report goes, but it was entertaining, and that is pretty much all that really matters

I play (homegrown chapter)
Win 8
Draw1
Loss1

Follow the word of the Turtle Pie. Bathe your soul in its holy warmth and partake in its delicious redemption. Let not the temptation of Lesser desserts divert you, for All is Pie, and Turtle is All

97% of people have useless and blatantly false statistics in their sigs, if you are one of the 8% who doesn't, paste this in your sig to show just what a rebel you are

For the first half of the game, the Leman Russ "concentrated all firepower" on the enemy tower, since we were under the impression that we had to destroy the building to get to the Cracker Jack prize inside. I forget what it did in the last half of the game. Through my beer haze, I vaguely remember a lot of blast templates on ground forces.
