This is my first paint job since 2002 or so. What you guys think? I did it for someone in my playing group. You guys think he will like it? Let me know what improvements and such. Thanks ahead of time!

My only comment would be to highlight the gold bits a little to bring it to life. Looks a little chalky, but certainly not bad for a 6 year break.

Definitely looks chalky now that you mention it. Must of been form the clear coat. I will have to touch it up a bit. Thanks. Amazing what you don't notice till someone points it out eh?

Nice, I like it. As for he chalkiness, some well applied gloss varnish might be of help.

Aye, Thanks this is my first time using a coating at all. I will have to pick some up for sure. I wasn't very good at painting assembling and such my first time around. So I was a little stoked to pull this one out.

Good job on his hair, I am assuming a dry brush technique.

Drybrushing and painting on the hair lines. (I still need to get the drybrushing technique down) and for the yellow I just painting that on the hair lines as well.

great job for such a long break. My main crit is the color of the ax handle. I'm not sure blue is the best color to use there, it's rather distracting and makes you focus too much on a detail that really isn't important.

Great Job. Slayers really look striking in a unit, not that I'm trying to push or anything, I just have a thing for seeing units of dramatic-looking figs. Keep up on the Dwarves, they get overlooked a lot, which is a shame because their way of waging war is just as valid as any other.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
