Things I've been noticing about the new drop pod:
1) It's AMAZING for orks. The hatches make great buggies. The support struts can be put together to also make platforms for buggies. The center datasphere makes a GREAT generator/engine, the shoulder harnesses are good weapon racks or ammo stores, the turbine is, well, a turbine, which orks can use great.
2) Chaos also benefits a lot. I'm working on a Dreadclaw conversion and it's going quite well. The support struts can also be made into a Hell Talon fighter easily enough if you can manage a cockpit from other materials.
3) The datasphere can be a great Imperial Objective marker too, or be used in terrain pieces as what it is just to add character to otherwise boring buildings.
I love this kit!
