Ok this is totally random. I was digging through my closet to find nothing else but all my old Tau models from when I first started playing 40K. Well I was looking for the new well strategy for the Tau, I mainly used suites in 4th ed where objectives were useless. So whats going down with the Tau I ask?

4+ saver hammerheads are pretty deadly.

Raging Ravener

Canada!

Hammerheads with Disruption Pods (4+ cover save at all times, unless enemy is shooting at you closer than 12"), Multi-Tracker (Can move and shoot like a fast vehicle), Railgun (Duh) and either Burst Cannons or Smart Missile System = WIN.

Suits aren't as good anymore, since they can't hide in cover, but they are still great if you can find a way to hide them and still utilize Jump Shoot Jump.

Kroot = WIN, because now they can outflank. They can also hold any objective in or near a forest really well.

Thanks that helps a ton, I was looking at running a total of 9 suits and using kroot and hammerheads with some pathfinders and such now. But I like the whole Kroot idea.

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!
