Welcome to yet another Battle Report at Wargamereports.com. This report was created following the Icelandic Grand Tournament, ICE-GT, and we found it fitting to report a battle involving people from that event. We decided to pit against each other the persons who won the 1st and 2nd place of the best painted Warhammer 40K army competition. Since us, here at Wargamereports.com, want to have a high painting standard for the armies in our reports this fitted our needs nicely.

That about covers it, two very well painted forces, loads of pictures, our trademark maps supported by well written text. Can you ask for more ?

10/10. Great report, great photos, and great painting add up to a nail-biting battle!

wait wait wait wait... huh..?

Don't you just love those units who just refuse to obey the rules of probability? Like my friends rhino who took 3 melta shots to the rear armor, and walked away with 3 crew shaken results.

Nice armies, I like the schemes.

I was in Iceland this summer, it's a cool place. And I had a cool time at a cool Jamboree. Link here: http://www.scout.is/jamboree2008/default.asp?ItemGroupID=93

I was surprised to find out that most of the Icelanders we met while we were traveling around afterward didn't know that the Jamboree had even happened, since the population of the jamboree was equal to about 1.33% of the population of Iceland.

Cap'n Gordino's instant grammar guide:
"This is TOO expensive." "I'm going TO the store, TO get some stuff."
"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."

Fantastic! Thanks for taking the time to write this up.

Two well-painted armies. Just enough jokes and fluff along the way to keep the report interesting.

And I love that movie-film picture viewer!

And wow...
Snake Eyes!!!?

Jeezum crow...great report, but those models were fantastic. If I could paint anywhere near that well I'd quit my job and sell my services to the highest bidder.
