My suggestion is this
*We* know how the stuff (doors on the side for example) is held on. Its glued. But imagine this is an actual vehicle. Whats holding it on? Structural adhesive? Or would orkses weld on bracing and rivets? I think if you think a little on practical details, then you can take this from feeling like you have to say "take it easy on me" to "look at my great conversion!"
Keep it up! Solid design!

Hmm it's a bit on the shiny side for an ork vehicle. Rust that sucker up.
This is my favorite rust technique

Yes far too shiny . I'm sure using the flash didn't help. What you need is more red ( red ones go fasta ) , some more metal patches ( use plasticard ) and plenty of rivets . Oh and a few check patterns and some grots hanging off of it.

Aaaaah the shining...
1) More rust and mud.
2) More useless (for normal people not for orcs) stuff, some sandbags, guns, whatever you will think of.
3) Some grots.
4) More rust and mud.
But conversion is rather nice, just work a little bit more on in. And more rust

the foil from a bottle of wine also works really well. It's thick enough to show, but it's flexible so that it wraps and bends nicely.

AWESOME! This is a rockin' Battlewagon. The sharp edges everywhere really make it seem Orky and menacing. I'd suggest adding an Ork Glyph or two to this model to make it REALLY Orky! Maybe even a red stripe on the side for SPEED.
I see plenty of rivets, though - don't see a prob there.
Re: Shiny, I love having SHINY ORK STUFF! If it was me, I'd keep it as-is. The enemy's eye will be involuntarilly drawn to this massive eyesore and have his poor eyes burned out as if he was looking at the sun. Then while he is trying to figure out what happened you go for the WIN! Ha ha ha ha! If the rest of your Orks are pretty muddy and dirty, though, you may consider some rust/dirt/mud.
Last opinion, this won't be complete without some Grot Riggers or an Ork Driver/Gunner. Remember, you get a ton of Bolt-On weapons if you want, so that's the only excuse you need in order to add crew to the top.
Enjoy and can't wait to see it with the new GUN on the front!

Actually if you have enough steel wool and let it soak long enough in the vinegar and bleach solution, the vinegar will lose it corrosive properties.
2CH3COOH(vinegar) + {NaClO + NaCl}(bleach) ---> Cl2(chlorine gas) + 2CH3COONa(Sodium acetate or a food preservative) + H2O(water)
Fe+Cl2--->FeCl2(the rust color)

that is deffinetlya battle wagon lol. nice job man. i agree on the doors tho. if you wanted them to look busted or missused put them on kinda of crocked. that way it looks like the orks have smashed the doors open a few to many times and now it hangs funny. that would give the whole tank a better feel then, they some how hung them sideways. orks arnt THAT unintelligent. i could see them letting it go far to long without actually fixing broken things.
i also really liked the tracks on there. are those chopped up sprue parts?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. The tracks are chopped sprues. I put the original track on and it looked just too damn tidy. As for the shiny--I blame the flash and the noon sun! Under normal light the thing does look dark. I did an ink wash with black fountain-pen ink! I agree 100% on the need to add bolts onto the doors--how do I do it? I was thinking of buying an eye-glasses repair kit and gluing the tiny nuts onto the corners of the hatches. I've got some glyphs and such that I'll also be adding too.

yea you could use those small nuts and whatnot form an eye glass repair kit. OR you can make rivets yourself for much less. i found that buying a dollar store hair brush works great. its a buck and all those plastic bristle things are perfect rivets when you cut them into a million little circles. you can make almost enough rivets to rivet up a stompa off one hair brush. others here buy some really thing plastic rods and do the same. depends on how you wanna go.
