Tactics are to have the captain and sternguard in the crusader, supported by one tac squad in the rhino driving in their shadow. The other two tac-squads form a firebase on my own objective(s) with the typhoons acting either as a mobile reserve, as more fire-support for the advance, or DS-ing as part of the assault.

I'd be more inclined to put Assault Termies in the Crusader and the Sternguard in the Rhino.

I thought about that, but I'm concerned about a lack of troops to hold objectives

I was thinking the crusader/sterguard combo could drive an enemy off an objective that the tac squad could then take and hold

Is this an issue with the new marines? Or should I just go for killy and look to contest rather than capture?

At 1500 pts, it should be sufficient to hold 2 objectives and to contests or clear two other objectives.
