Well, looks scary. The Sternguard and Dreads should arrive first, then the Tacticals. Therefore, I'd give drop the locator beacon from the Tacticals drop pod and give it to the drop pod of a Sternguard.

I have 8 Drop pods and 4 with locator beacons, was just going to first turn Drop in IronClads. They have the ability to run and fire smoke. If I face some meltaguns/ multis. The one thing that bothers me is Wraithguard and Wraithlords as well as stuff like Nightbringer.
Not to concerned.
If I deploy the Ironguard behind the Droppods I can probably get hull down and still have some fire.
The Scary thing is that I am making the Ironclads for pretty much nothing. I'm just ordering some right army chainfists for chaos from forgeworld.

Well, Wraithguard is expensive. The enemy will probably field only one unit. Just avoid and shoot it. Sternguard with AP3 bolters will decimate them quickly.
Wraithlords require combined shooting to wound. If your Ironclads run into cover then a charging WL will hit last (and so will be dead before it can hit).

The only other list I came up with that is actually kind of slowed is
Master of the Forge
Elite
3x Ironclads w/ drop pod 540
Troops
Tac w/ drop , melta , comib melta power 245
Tact " " 235
Tact "" 235
Heavy Support
3x Ironclads w/ drop pod 1 lb 520
Fast Attack
Landspeeder H. Flamer, Multi Melta
Landspeeder H. Flamer Multi Melta
edit:
If you are wondering how I afford so many droppods, plasticard, +printer, plus some 1 inch styrofoam costs around 35 dollars + 10 hours of work and you have 12 to 15 drop pods. pick up some stormbolters and you have suitable drop pods that are the same size etc..
Also, my drop pods for dreadnoughts are different.

I'd take the Speeders in a squadron (killpoint issues). The Ironclads would benefit from heavy flamers.

Yeah but then you dont get the extra tactical benefit of placing them seperate. That and I am not buying more than 2 heavy f. multi melta landspeeders.
Alternately I could just drop a tactical squad and get another 2 squads of speeders.
The list is relatively cheap money wise as the previous list I have the 4 dreadnoughts and can alter them to be ironclads.

No, Landspeeders are too fragile and probably one hit wonders.

Eh... one of the reasons I wanted to split them as if you want to waste a squads shooting on a 70 point model when there are a few 13 armour walkers wrecking your gak along with tacticals and sternguard. Go head and be my guests.
I see the point of minimizing kil points but I play for fun and we mostly play missions so its not that bad.
Good point though.
I like the first army because it is cheap. I have the models, the nexto ne I would have to invest more money to get. I can field the first with reasonable proxies.
edit:
The problem I have with the first list is that I do not have a lot of scoring units, I was thinking of dropping one sternguard squad and adding another tactical and a outflanking scout unit or something.

I'd opt for the first army. Speeders have a bad taste in 5th ed due to the changes of the skimmer rules.

Well, its a gamble. My Eldar army for the GT final has 3 scoring units (but protected by Serpents).
You have 4 scoring units. You need to bring them in as late as possible and remove serious threats by the Elite and HS.

Err I have two I thought? Ionly have 2 space marine tactical squads. Dropping one Dreadnought and one sternguard would give me the ability to take 1 full Assault squad and one 5 man kitted Vanguard.

Tacticals split into combat squads = 4 scoring units

Sofaking We tod ed , yeah your right. I completely forgot about that.
What about the option though of dropping a Sternguard, and a Ironclad for.
Assault Squad w/ Flamers , Powerweapon, melta
and a
5 man vanguard with power weapons.

I'm sorry, I just had to laugh at that. Yes, go ahead, shoot your S4 AP3 bolters at my T6 models. You're looking at about maybe 3 wounds from a full rapid-firing squad, which will likely kill about one wraithguard after either 4+ Fortuned cover or 5+ Fortuned Conceal.
Combimeltas might be a different story, now, but they're still not going to kill more than 4 or 5 likely. Still a good ROI.

Well, the space marine librarian with psychic hood and nullzone will hopefully help with that along with the fact I would not shoot STR4 but the Hellfire.
13 saves is still 13 saves and would likely kill more.

Well, I have to laugh at that, too. Combimeltas or power fists.
