I'm just putting the finish touches on a new fig, but for the life of me can't seem to get a good effect out of the glass goggles of his gas mask. I'd post the model as it is now, but after about 10 minutes with my 4 year old+ digital camera, it looks like the focus on it is shot, so I'll just post the paint-free model:
I want to keep them black, but that prevents me from using the standard 'blue glass' painting process (dark blue, circular light blue highlight, spot of white reflection, etc.). With just the white reflection, it's not enough.
I'm sort of at a dead end on this one, so I turn to the mighty mightiness of the dakka peoples in search of advice. Has anyone found an appealing solution to this sort of problem?
