Points are from memory, I am at work, so In am unsure of the cost of the big mek, and dont know the cost of my nobz, they are a recent addition. I want to aquire and extra Deffkopta and can drop the Skorcha entirely (I dont have it yet).

My puchase plan will allow room for a trukk, which comes with the battleforce., but I am looking at a footslogga list. At some point I want to knock together a KFF Big mek with a burna, and maybe a battlewagon (Looted Russ). Other than that what you see is what I have got, or am planning to get. Help me make my orky army full of win please.

Come on Dakka, you can offer more responses than that.

i dont play orks but a footslogging force usualy has more boys, my friend had a army like this and it got mowed down when trying to reach the objectives etc.

maybe take out 3 killa kans for more shoota boys thats my opinion but i know nothing about orks.

I'll take a stab at it, keep in mind my 2 cents comes from my play testing while building various lists and trying out things.

If you’re going to take a SAG I would give it ammo runts. I could be wrong but being able to reroll if you scatter too far is useful. Plus if roll bad and you end up shooting your people you can reroll if you don't scatter far lol. Also running the SAG it seems to be most useful attached to a unit of grots with a bosspole, or attached to a kannon squad. By itself or attached to anything else it seems to not be so great in my exp.

Solo Deff Dredd seems to be an epic fail. I have had some minor good use out of running two together supporting things, but my vote is to drop them all together. The only time they seem to help is in small army's or campaigns. The points always seem to be more useful else where. This is a shame because it’s a fun model.

I vote against one solo scorcha it’s too easy to take out and isn't dependable. Plus one template doesn't seem to do enough damage to be overly useful. I currently run three in a squad as support for my list with pretty good results, but am thinking these are totally support so it really depends on the reset of your list. I would drop this and spend the points else where as well.

Your nobs are on foot and there is only 6. If your going to run nobs I would say throw them in a wagon, in a truck or on bikes. Walking on foot I don't personally see them as useful or valid. 12 in a truck or a few on bikes with your warboss are a really solid unit that can be used to some good effect.

I would drop your warboss for KFF mech he can march forward with the kans giving them all cover saves and with your boys behind them getting cover from the kans. It would flow better with your army list than the warboss I would say. A third unit of kans wouldn't be a bad idea either. Also consider running zooka's instead of rockets on the kans.

Loota's are amazing!!! I would drop one squad of bikes and run two squads of loota's. If you love bikes I only see them really deliver in large numbers not just a solo squad. (not counting biker nobs who are massive on the table but really pricey)

For reference Shep runs a pretty strong list that is along the lines of yours with kans on the front lines. Maybe check out some the battle reports

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

What I listed is what I have got and the odd few items I am planning to get or can get from swaps.

This army is on the cheap, I cannot afford to fuel my hobby too much at this time.

SKURK3N:

This army is based on my upcoming collection, so it has a bit of almost everything. Though it is strong on kans (I bought the Apocalypse dred mob boxset) this gives it a bar bones kan/dred theme.

I could drop the skorcha and spam deffkoptas easily enough.

XAV:

I could stretch in another mob of 20 slugga boyz without rokkits, the nobz unit is utterly expendible from the list.
I could up some units to 30, but I find them unwieldy in games, the unit footprint is too big.
I find that while 80 boyz is smaller than many armies it is enough to get there, the kans should be considerd part of the boyz mobs they advance together, get screened and absorb a lot of medium strength panic fire.

DRKMORALS:

Ok. I didnt know the SAG could benefit from ammo runts being an ordnance weapon. If so this is worth looking into.
The kannon squad seems tempting, when plastic grots come out next year I might consider that. If I need a retinue I could strip a shoota mob give the mek a bosspole and add him in.

I had two dreds with the dred mob, swapped one keeping the other. It is a minium dred and I like the model. In armies below 2000pts it will be the first thing to go, most of the time.

I am agreeing with you on the skorcha again I like the model but wont have enough buggies to make any use. I was considering a squadron of three but they are expensive. Three skorchas are nasty, especially if they are concealed before their attack. One skorcha is cheap and nasty. Have no illusions over the utility of a zip forward heavy flamer against other horde armies.
In order to take multiples of units, where armies get their strength I can sacrifice the skorcha for more deffkoptas.

The nobz are just there. I gave some big choppas because it made sense to do so. I am not convinced at all of the usefulness of nobz. I would rather take some meganobz in a trukk, but will have to wait to afford that.

KFF mek is on the conversion list, if anything he will replace my Shokkmek. The Warboss stays besides he doesn't even have a bike, he rides a huge cyboar converted from the orc warboss boar. He is just too mean to leave off the table.

7 lootas so far as bitz, one box to buy: 11 lootas, second box later for the full 15. I am stopping at one mob, multi mob lootas are borkan and I dont like borkan lists.

I will look up Sheps lists. Mauleed also expressed an interest in multi kan armies. Nine kans is very tempting and is my likeliest direction. Though wil nine kans I will likely keep the dred for theme and try to add in Meganobz.
My alternate direction is to build up battlewagons for a seperate list. I envision a wall of deffrollas. In either case I will be needing to keep my troops and fast attack fairly light and more or less the same as it is now to afford this. Though a KFF mek will becvome increasingly important at this stage.

For now I am looking for a workable ork list with what I have got, or with few additional changes.
