I recently picked up Resident Evil 4 for the PS2, and this rocks! I was so happy with it that I bought RE1/2/3 as well! Anyone else mad about these games? The head-popping is irresistable!

As medicore action/horror movie. 1 Yes, 2 maybe, 3 hell no.
As a game movie. Waaaaaaaay down. They took pretty much everything interesting from the games and either cut it out or made it stupid. Nemesis?! Wesker?!!!! Are you ing kidding me. Oh and don't let us forget the terrible enemy Jovovich had to face in RE: Apocalypse....

Back on topic: I'm a big fan of the series, not so much for it's gameplay but for the cool story. Okay, RE4 is overall a fantastic game, but the older games were a real pain to control. Still, it gave me a lot of inspiration, and who knows, someday I may really build that Lost and the Damned Umbrella army

The movies were by the same guy who made Aliens and Predator both suck. If he can make them both suck...he can do ANYTHING!

I mean seriously, we're not going to have that many *good* video game movies. Video games today are basically movies unto themselves.

The games are good, but they give us a very specific imagery to work with.

Transferring that medium to a feature film just doesn't work.

It's like if they ever made a Quake movie, or heck look at the Doom movie.

I think Doom was an excellent movie. Good for a bit of action IMO.
On-topic, I have just reached the castle and I am having fun killing cultists with my semi-auto rifle. I have died once so far; I was in the village for the first time and I go pinned in a corner by a chainsaw manic and I couldn't reload in time. It's actually really depressing to see Leon's head get lopped off.

Oh, yeah. My RE obsession. I traveled 90 miles to get my hand on RE2. Heck, I bought a Gamecube just so I can play RE4 and even bought RE4 for PS2 when it came out.

Funny thing is I had no idea what RE was when it first came out. I drove a friend to the store to buy the PSone and he bought RE, Twisted Metal and Warhawk. We played TM and WH for a while and then we tried out RE. Damn! We crapped our selfs during the classic "dogs jumping in the window" scene. Got my paycheck and spent it on my PSone and RE.

RE4 is amazing and I all giddy inside with the shots we have seen of RE5. Wesker, the bastard, really needs to die.
