This things seems massive!
You should enjoy the size comparison pics below as well as the scale of the plague tower too.

Thanks!
KingCracker wrote:lol that is what youd expect a nurgle titan to look like. cool idea on the fly face thing. what is that anyways? a halloween decoration or somthing? nice work man cant wait to see some paint
The client told me it was an old spawn figure. Someone asked on another forum and the client himself popped in and said it was one from the late 90's to the early 00's . As for seeing painted pics.. I really hope the client does post painted pics of it along with the tower that he also bought.

You can consider that bottle cap usage stolen, when I get around to scratchbuilding mine up.
*reexamines his To Do Scratch list and sighs*
Honestly 1/2 pvc is much better and 3/4 for the thigh joints. The caps needed to be stuffed with putty so they ddint break apart. Also, super glue and plastic glue both had trouble bonding it to plastic card. In the end, thank god it was a nurgle titan and I could put filth and such to add extra strength because without it, the caps didnt do a very good job besides looking better then pvc.
Haha, dont even get me started on my to do list. I think all of us scratch builders have a huge list with some stuff that wil never even get started.
wash-away wrote:on the fly mask, it's not very well encorperated into the titan, use green stuff to fix the hard edges on it so i'ts not 'fly face' 'titan' but 'fly face titan'
Shrug. Its hard to see in the pic but I felt it got the job done. More over, the client was happy so that was the end of it. Alot of the titan and the way it looks has to do with the fact its not painted or undercoated. Good point on the "fly face" "titan" compared to "fly face titan".
----------------
The weapon arms are removable and posable.
The same client also bought my Plague Tower that some of you may have already seen. I put a renegade marine in the picture to show scale of both.
And a final "moon" to you all from papa nurgle!

MachineSlave wrote:Nice plasticard job. Looks good but the GS work needs help, looks like you did not knwo what to do with it so stuck it with a toothpick a bunch and let it be. Instead try smoothing some of it out so it makes the plasic plates just look like the are slowly warping and bubbling then transition up to the rougher areas that you have going. I like the mask idea and yeah integrate it more into the piece. You have a great looking model btw, I would be proud!
Thanks for the comments!
Although I do feel I should point out, while the GS work on the titan "looks like it needs some work", it actually looks fine on the model in person and there are tons of transition spots from armor to GS. The main reason it looks like it has just been poked is because it has. The clients main request was that it match the plague tower AND not have a really high end cost. I charge by the hour and he didnt want me to go back, change things on the tower, which is why the "poked" look is still around. (so the titan matchs the tower) Oh and I built the titan and GSed it while I had my right/main arm in a sling. All I had was my left hand.
I think this project is an either love or hate thing. Alot of people have said the samething as yourself. In the end, as long as the client is happy, thats all that matters.
To give you an idea of my GS skills, which by no means are the best, but also by no means crappy..
Again, thank you for you opinion and comments. Dont be a stranger!

For those of you that havent seen this Tower, more pics of it can be seen at www.conversioncorner.com , under the right section.

Good Job With The Titan!
Actually I havent painted any ofthe Towers, Warhound or any other super heavy for that matter. I simply build and sell them to people who then paint them in their own army colors. But that is about to change. Im building myself an apocalypse style Tower. It will have some slight changes but overall it will still be made out of a seige tower.
The Thousandth Son wrote:Wow, the Titan is actually really good, I was expecting something noobish. I love the way you applied the Nurglings. No all it needs is a paint job.
I only recently found out that the client plans to indeed paint the tower and warhound ASAP. He said he might post them, so yay! Oh and thanks for the very kind words!
---------------------
Pictures of the completed Apocalypse Style Tower today sometime, minus the pus cannon bit that i wont have until tomorow.

My camara is giving me some serious problems so this is the only pic until I figure it out.
Yes there is damage to the side armor, like the front as well as tons of rivets. You just cant see it with the flash.
Im very interested in everyones opinion on if it should have tracks or not.

1mm and 1/2mm thickness Plastic card, Plastic hex rods for rivets and some specialty non toxic sodering wire for the cooling cables.
Platuan4th wrote:KingCracker wrote:what is that anyways? a halloween decoration or somthing?
It's a piece from Manga Clown from the Manga Spawn series of Action Figures(which actually has nothing to do with the actual Spawn: The Manga) from McFarlane toys. The two Manga Spawn series of figures were made in the late nineties, you may beable to find them on Ebay, but will probably cost you a pretty penny.
You sire just made many many many people happy. Ive gotten so many requests for what that part is from. Even the client couldnt be that exact on where it came from.
Thanks!
