Comrade is formulating a CC Nid list, mostly for fluff reasons. Has us thinking, how effective would a cc oriented MC heavy list do in the current environment?
He's initially thinking of 5 assault oriented carnifexxes, 2 HTs (with 3 guard each) which may or may not have ranged weapons, 2 lictors, and 50 genestealers in a 2,000 point list.

We're thinking it would be shot up, but with something on the order of 43 T6 or better wounds and heavy carnies with d6+2 MC attacks each, it might be a better list then we originally thought. The Lictors would be used to strictly create some havoc and minor damage in the backfield whilst the Gorilla horde moves up.

Thoughts, especially vs. ork and some of the new marine builds being bandied about?

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."

Just a quick thought about the lictors. When playing i wouldnt put them near the enemy unless they have supporting units, and with a cc army there will be be very little support. I tried this once against a squad of lootas and thought "hey, if he survives i get through a turn of NO heavy firepower coming my way". Needless to say he didn't survive. I would lose the lictors as they are very easy to deal with and perhaps the extra points could be used to buy some gargoyles...more wounds than a lictor and can potentially cause more harassment.

The Lictors can do good if you can get 2 against one squad at a time or get them late when the others are gonna charge, depends who you are fighting, also from fluff and models they are one of my favorite units in the game. I love the broodlord and his ret of stealers, use them to outflank and harass.
On my Fexs i love 2 sets of talons, flesh hooks and beef them up with +1 sv and maybe extra wound if you can. Toxic Miasma is very handy, and make sure to give them the extra INT as they can go before Powerfists.
I love the nids but i feel the small ones suffer now in CC as they assault and kill then are left with a round of getting shot to death, so i am fielding quite a few Big bugs.
