Okay... I'm relatively new to WHFM and I have a few questions about combat resolution and 'Undead'

A unit of Saurus warriors were charged on the flank by some Ghouls and a frontal assault by a big mean vampire. The Saurus warriors won the battles... so... the Undead rule stipulates that instead of fleeing... they lose wounds. This is treated as two battles... or one? If it is treated as one... then how do you decide where the lost wounds go... or do both the vampire and the ghouls get wounds for losing against the Saurus warriors?

Secondly... it says you can only reform if there are units on one flanking side... if the Saurus warriors were facing the vampire, could they reform to their flank to face the ghouls (of if facing the ghouls... reform to face the vampire)?

Bonus questions... Stupidity

Stupidity... Konrad the angry vampire is subject to stupidity... so... if he is subject that turn... I then roll against leadership to see if he is stupid. I'm assuming stupidity does not apply during combat... only if moving, charging, shooting or magic... but I thought a General or perhaps hero helped with Stupidity... I couldn't find the rule. Is there something?

EACH unit of undead on the losing side loses wounds. This is why smart vampire players think very carefully before they run their characters out of units. It can be extremely risky.

The rules for turning to face when engaged specify that you’re not allowed to do it if you’re also engaged on another side.

Stupidity has very clear rules for what exactly happens in its entry. No, it doesn’t impair you if you’re already in combat. As for a general or hero helping- Stupidity is a Leadership lest. If you have a Stupid unit led by a hero, they can use his LD as normal, making it easier to pass. If a Stupid unit is within 12” of its General, it could use his LD as normal. So If you have Konrad and a different model is your General, and the General has higher LD that Konrad, and is within 12” of Konrad, that would indeed help.

Thanks!

Looks like I was playing things properly! The Vamp player definitely made a few mistakes in his charging as the Lizardmen easily routed the Vamps due to this.

Again... thanks
