7 Plague Marines, 2 Meltaguns, Icon, Plague Champion, Powerfist and Combi-Melta, Chaos Rhino (9 models)
7 Thousand Son Space Marines, Icon, Aspiring sorcerer, Doombolt, Chaos Rhino (9 models)

I could use some specifics on what you mean.
The most fragile unit is my army is 1ksons, which are admittedly usually just normal SM's, (sometimes the invuln comes in tho), and they are mounted in a rhino.
This army has 21 2+/5+ wounds. It has 16 Plague Marine bodies. How can i make this list 'less fragile'?
Are rhinos really that slow? 12" move for 1 or 2 turns to set then drop. The oblits which can cover the board with their 48" shots (36 for anti infantry).
Dont forget all the termies are deepstriking onto icons. Maybe thats what your missing.
More or less id like specifics.
How is it slow, What makes it fragile?
I am shocked because slow and fragile are the LAST two adjectives i would use on this army. No foot sloggers at all (unless you count move and shooting 48" guns or deepstriking termies) and its packed full of plague marines and termie armor.

Has this list been tested against a dedicated assault army? I think with the limited number of models this list has, a pure assault army could give it trouble.

I'd disagree with the slow and fragile points for what you stated VenBehlen. Then again, Plague Marines are kinda squishy, so I guess fragile and squishy might be construed as the same thing lol.
One thing you could experiment with that may be interesting is taking the Lash prince and making one of those units of termies, Chaos terminator champions with twin lightning claws, throw in an icon of Khorne if you are particularly gutsy or Slaanesh for the initiative increase, and use lash alongside the Termies to set up charges on hard as nails units you really need killed that the lighter firepower won't deal with completely.
How did your test drive go? Who did you play against?

Dude seriously, back up your opinion you're telling us all jack gak asides from making an off hand comment that doesn't make apparent sense.
Oh to the 1k Sons in the rhino a first turn move 12 inches jump out and unleash firepower from their slow and purposeful bolters is nasty and a standard tactic alot of people use, gives you an effective range of 38 inches with those lovely AP 3 bolters and the doom bolt.
Cheers,
Auretious Taak.

Hey Auretious, Thanks for the ideas, i appreciate it.
I still dont see plague marines as squishy tho! Sure they die to gigantic shots with high str (or ap2 shots, but any ap 2 shots arent going into my 2+'s is good!), but what doesnt?
I tried this army against an AC heavy Vanilla list a few days before the codex came out. He was rolling Some AC heavy termie squads, a dev squad with 4 ML's attached to razorback, a vindi, some tac squads with 2 plasma guns attached to razorback, and a drop pod with plasma guns. It also had an AC/hf vernable dread.
His army seems all over the place but its been stunning armies in the area. I did beat him soundly however.
My buddy has also went 3-0 with this army against infantry heavy necrons, assault heavy Nids (basically the list pulled right from an article on this website), and a so/so mech eldar list that has since been deconstruced.
So this list is currently 4-0 and has won almost every game soundly (except against the necrons it struggled a little, but who doesnt?)
@ extrenm:
Yeah this army went against the dedicated assault nid list that is featured on this website played by a very solid veteran nid player.

This is encouraging to hear. In the past I have run a list made up mostly of berzerkers but supported by raining down combi weapon terminators on my opponent. Its good to see that this same concept works sounds on a variety of opponent I have not yet fought. I guess the only thing you really have to worry about in this list is someone with enough ranged firepower to drop your Rhinos before they ever move. That would weaken your ability to drop in terminators and oblits, and make it much harder to get into rapid fire range.
