Hey all I just have what I think is a quick question, if a person has a unit of 30 that the models are 2" apart in a strait line, I hit the unit with the The Masque I get to position them but do I get to move any one model over what I have rolled? I would like to move them in a group but the question came up that you can not move any one unit over the distance rolled, is this correct?

Thanks!

When you say "unit" do you mean "model"? Unit refers to a squad, rather than a single figure (so it's a little different to common terminology in RTS computer games, for example).

Pavane is quite simple to comprehend: you hit the enemy unit, and can move it D6" in any direction. All models in that unit move up to the distance rolled in any legal formation, I don't see how you can try to move them more than that.

Unit = squad

You don’t get what I am asking so if.... your opponent has 30 orks in a line with each model 2" from each other, I roll hit them and then say roll a 3 can I then group them so they are base to base with each other, this will them move a individual model more then 3" but the unit will not move more then 3".

London (work) / Pompey (live, from time to time)

In that case, no. No model can move further than the distance indicated by the dice.

This was what I was referring to when I was trying to clarify "unit."

Regarding your question, I did answer it correctly. All models in the unit are restricted to the D6" move. The move is made in exactly the same way as a normal move as if you controlled them, and would have to follow all the normal rules for movement except for difficult terrain.
